2.4 supercharged guys: few quick questions.

2.4 supercharged guys: few quick questions.
Should be easy ones to answer.
1) What size injectors are using for 2.4 M62 supercharged setups with the smallest pulley and additional mods.
2) Where are you getting the injector timing/offset information for non LSJ injectors should you be using a larger then stock injector?
3) How are you changing the MAP sensor from 1bar to 2bar via HPtuners?
4) Are you running entirely MAF or are you tuning with speed density and how are you adding boost columns to the speed density tune via HPtuners? (pics of this would help immensely)
5) How much boost can you expect to see given the various pulley sizes available?
6) Does the 2.4 crank pulley match the same size as the LSJ?
7) What adjustments have you made to the variable valve timing table to account for boost with the supercharger?

In for info. I don't have time to post up a lengthy reply tonight from my 2.4 turbo tuning experience but the MAP is on a separate page somewhere, I stayed full MAF tuned, VVT adjustments are basically to eliminate overlap and improve exhaust evacuation. You can advance the exhaust cam a little bit anywhere you would be in boost, gotta play with it and see how your results work out.

1) Depends on fuel used, even with ethanol 60# should do fine but again depends if you wanna push her
2) 2.2 & 2.4 Fuel Injector Calibrations
3) in HPT engine diagnostics-->airflow-->map sensor linear and map sensor offset
4) MAF tuning maf high and over 4000 Hz ish and you can VE tune under that, it sucks tho. You can purchase a custom OS to VE tune in boost but not worth it IMO
5) boost doesn't really matter dont really worry about it, it will be under 1 bar gage so a 2 bar map will read it fine
6) Not sure
7) as joe said, decrease overlap while keeping advance up down low, retard up top. its alot of playing with tho unless you got cash for lots of steady state dyno time

Thanks for the injector cal info, thats exactly what i was looking for. Reason I ask about the pulley vs boost amounts is because I wanted to get an idea of what pulley size to go with or just go for the smallest one. I also wanted to calculate blower speed to make sure im not over revving the blower by much.

2.8" should put you closer to 13-14psi, it's good for nearly 18 on a 2.0 car. Keeps the blower from overspinning too much if you aren't revving past 7000 also. I spun my 2.8 setup on my LSJ to 7600 happily for a long time. With my cams and porting work it was only about 15psi peak but with stock manifolds and stuff you will reach nearly 20psi on the smaller displacement at those higher rpms. Still goes way into the excessive heat production part of the curve at that point though. Keep it around stock redline and it will be super happy.

most it would ever see is 7k AT MOST, id never spin the auto faster then that anyway. Ill be running a dual pass end plate with the S3 heat exchanger with the option b kit as well. I also have a new torque converter on the way as well to replace the tired GM one. Trans is otherwise in good condition, when I did the fluid flush when I bought the car it looked like it had been regularly serviced and the fluid came out clean and the trans was spotless. The only issue im dealing with now is the supercharger i bought was broken during shipping. I have to take it over to my buddys machine shop and see if he can weld a new piece onto this without warping the rotor bores.

Anyways, its important i need to ask.... ZZP on their S/C kits say that, "MAP Sensor notes: '06/07 2.4 comes with a 2 bar MAP, '08-10 2.4L and '07-10 2.2L comes with a 4 bar MAP. Custom PCM programming is required to change the MAP sensor, it is included in our PCM file."
I have been emailing Ryan back and forth. I have an '08 LE5 and theyre saying that my harness should connect right to the 4 bar MAP... mine does not. It only plugs in to the factory 2 bar MAP. Plus, they also tuned for the 4 bar MAP sensor..... Will i be alright running the two bar map with a 4 bar tune? Do i have to cut and splice wires?? Any advice is much appreciated.

Right on, that is definitely good to know! It turns out I was the dummy, the 4 bar was plugged in the entire time. What threw me off was that they sent me the MAP for the LSJ and also the 4 bar... so there was the confusion.
All I'm waiting on now is for this weather to be consistent and I can rip the head off to check the damage on the pistons.... I dunno if I'm going to go through the trouble of replacing the engine, which ive already done once, I might as well go forged internals. I just wish you didn't need to sell an arm an a leg with a free kidney just to go forged. We will see. If pistons have just a little damage on them then I may just say screw it...
