That's right the one GM has used on their race car is now available in LIMITED quantities. We have updated our website to reflect the price of the unit.

I'm going to wait until the prices drop a bit before even thinking about getting one, but that is probably going to be the best clutch out there for our cars. Does anyone know if the Time Attack cobalt is still using the same exedy clutch they first put in? Or are they on a 2nd one?
from what i hear a 6 puck with a lightened flywheel is a bitch for daily driving. but we have yet to hear if it comes with a lightened flywheel or just a replacement for the stock one.
For high-powered applications EXEDY offers Multi plate clutches. These are designed for hot street action as well as drag, road, and rally racing. All of our multi plate clutches come with a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel, and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, both strap drive and lug drive models are available. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. The multi plate clutches are rated up to 800+ foot pounds of torque at the flywheel. And come with spring damper or solid discs depending on the application.
Which one is the one available from DZOD??

To answer the pricing question, I doubt this will come down considering the build, materials and flywheel being included. Overall a decent price IMHO considering most people are paying $4-500 for a clutch that is an OEM replacement and another $300 for a lightened flywheel. That is already $700-800 and it will not keep up with the TQ capacity that this 1 clutch/flywheel assembly will hold. This holds 450 ft/lbs!!!!!
With respect to a 6 spline sprung daily, it may not be for the weak at heart. I know plenty of turbo Civic, turbo Integra, turbo RSX, SRT-4, EVO 8, STi etc owners that drive 4 and spline clutches with higher TQ capacity for their apps without a problem. It will just take some getting used to.
Why is everyone bitching about the price. By time you order a Spec 3+ w/ Flywheel, your right around 1000-1100.
Spec 3+ holds more power, but I will wait to see whoever installs this first has the same issues some other clutches have. I know when I was shopping for this, Exedy sent me a specification sheet that said they only recommended 280 TQ @ Wheels Max for Drag use. Was not enough for me, but I'm sure that is only a recommendation and could handle more.
