That's a smokin' deal. I'll probably end up with one of these. What is the distance decreased in the shift throw on the TWM?

no, its not the console, its the shifter assembly that you have to cut, its pretty easy. you can tell anything has been cut.

We already have two great short shifters.(B&M, Hurst) Why would they want to enter the market when there are already two out?

Well I think if you came out with a quality shifter at a cheaper price than those 2 you would have the market cornered. The B&M and Hurst shifters are overpriced.

Thanks for your interest, the Cobalt short shifter reduces throw by 38% and shift knob height by 2 inches.

A small portion of the plastic shifter base needs to be cut to create clearance for the longer lower section of the TWM short shifter. The portion that is removed is not functional and is not visible once the console is re-installed. I hope this helps.

Just wondering, once you get the short-shifter (and whatever else comes w/it as needed), do you have to cut or modify anything after that? Or can you just go install it as everything is?

like we said, everything you need comes in the package. its not a hard install either. you do have to cut the shifter assembly a little but its not a big deal. but the car looks stock (except for the shorter shifter, and new knob) when it is put back together.
