idk if anybody has this problem but it seems like once a week ive got some dude pulling up to me at a light wanting to race... normaly i just ignore them and go on my merry way but, today "monday of all days" i had some dude pull up next to me in a rx7 probly early 90's reving his engine and trying to impress his girlfriend.... im like wow u need to tone it down cheech youve got 4 more days till friday... his response is lets see what ur "SLOWBALT" can do.. going against my better judgement i owned him going off the line and about 3 or 4 blocks I let off the gas being 2 or so car lengths away.... then after that he persisted to try to race me at every light and i finaly had to turn off and lose the dude.. it was very strange.. i guess its an odd way to start the week.....

I have the problem of people wanting/trying to race me in things that should not race. Like teenagers in beater 80s Hondas, or dads in minivans. And when I pull up to a light with something I'd run with... nothing happens.

 

Its been that way since the dawn of time. My car is faster then your car, my horse is faster then your horse, I can run faster then you can run. It all boils down to my dick is bigger then your dick. Its mostly young guys with something to proove to themselves or to complete strangers. Pay no attention to them I don't.

lol hey now its not always the age its the maturity sometimes. im 17 and i've had guys give me the lets race look when i was driving the bonneville and the guy was like late 20s maybe early thirties. i tend to ignore em. but every once and a while i put the 205hp bonneville boat to some use.

 

Hit his car with a big ass rock, hit him in the head with the same rock, club his girl and drag her back to your cave and have funky caveman sex with her allll night long!!

Its usually the ones with the POS that want to race. Early rx-7s are weak in N/A form...
I never have luck getting anyone with anything decent to get into it...

 

maybe its because most people think that are cars are cavs thats why they want to race.. like we have to prove something.. idk if this makes any sense

 

i like when i find people at a light that do that and i spot a cop up ahead. i nod, rev my engine, get on it until i hit the speed limit, let off the gas and watch them speed by and get pulled over by the cop. teenagers can be so stupid.

some asshat from street attack is constanly trying to race me in the ram, He has a 5.3L and i got a HEMI, i whoop his ass all the time, then he gets one of his bitches to come on here and talk ****. WTF??!!

 

If they are stupid enough to not look ahead for that cop, then they should get pulled over.

People try to race me a lot.. And I only have an unmodded LS haha.. Mostly trucks actually..on streets where I know there are cops in the trees every 30 feet.

 

Mazdaspeed 3 tried racing with me tonight. I wasn't even ******* with him. SS/NA has at least 80 HP less than speed 3's and he's forced inducted.

It all boils down to just say no.

 

People are funny, more to a race in my opinion than light to light. The Overland is way quicker that my cobalt, plus I can spin all 4 tires with the traction control off and tow/haul on (albeit momentarily, but it freaks your would be racer out). What the Cobalt can do is take a flat turn at 65 mph, any banking just give up, its glued to the road. I can lose my buddy in his 3 series on back roads and the pos mazda 6 manual V6 (not speed) he had was identical in acceleration to my 2.4 auto, and sucked in the twisties, crap tires and oversteer, which is why he got rid of it.

 

nate.. ppl always try to race you cause you like to hang out on the ricery hwy, you know this stop acting like you dont. well that and the exhaust, the intake all make noise. and your balt is orange...that dosnt help

 

i never really get races often either. . . unless i go to the races lol.

 

i only got a couple races people wanted to do.. a v6 auto mustang, killed that ::i have a 2.2:: um some old rusted bmw, killed that.. modded honda civic, all body mods and intake and muffler :ld friend:: beat that and governor hit and he caught up after like 10 seconds haha..

havnt raced since, been about a year since all that.. i dont street race anymore.. aint willing to die, or hurt anyone in the process... id rather keep it track or at least a shut down road or something..

some hemi 5 months ago reved his engine when i was at taco bell with my fiancee and some friends was like what you got in there, was like not much really, he was like wanna race, and i was like nope.. and hes like why why.. i said cause i dont want a ticket.. and he got pissed and left spinning his hemi's tires.. dumb ass he was.. 16 year old with mommy and daddys car and thought he was all tough..

i woulda got my ass kicked in that race haha..
