Well their cat back is a 3" but it has a small 2.5" section at the beginning. With that being the case, I would assume the DP will have a 2.5" exit.

Wow, that's barely a 4-2-1 header. The secondaries are real short. It is also going to throw a CEL since the cat is behind the second O2 sensor. Why can't anyone just design a 4-2-1 header the right way. It's not like this is a complicated task! Grrr....... i was really pulling for this header too. Damn it!

do you know if this would work with your 2.75" cat-back? If it can I'll be on the group buy list.

I take it that this header is too long to bolt up in the factory location for the downpipe?? This means we can't just buy the header to use with other OE length downpipes. I want a header with a 2.5" collector that mounts to the OE downpipe is of great quality and can be ordered with double ceramic coating.

im beginning to think that no one like making parts for the cobalt as a great amount of them have some sort of flaw in their design.

Well I dont know much I was just going by what the other guy said with what was wrong with it. And also CTI's downpipe and header is also over 700 so i dont think the price is bad either.

I have to admit, if I had the loot, I would order one with or without the GP. Even though it would be better with the GP..lol

They say that it will bolt right up to the stock exhaust as well as their Vibrant cat-back. From what I gather, after the cat it reduces to 2.5" which would mate right up to stock and they prob have a 3" adapter to mate it to the Vibrant cat-back..
Worst case scenario, you may have to take it to a shop and have a custom adapter put on.

Hmmm, I didnt think of having a shop do that, good idea(I hate not doing everthing myself though). Now i dont need a whole new cat back just to have more than one choice in downpipes lol.

The vibrant cat back has a 2.5" flange on it so no adapter would be needed.
