Alright man Im dieing here! Post some serious amounts of pics of your 2.4 SS!!! I may opt no SS/SC for this guy. I heard the Gas Mileage on this baby is outstanding plus 171 horse!

Post pics of the outside, close ups, interior, engine bay please!!

Also does anyone know if its pretty much the same car as the ss/sc just a slightly different look and no sc? Like are we keepin the same suspension and 4 disc breaks?

Suspension set up on the SS is not the same as the SC - however, it's still a better set up than the base coupe. Yes, the SS gets discs all around. Sounds like a really good package. I need to know costs before I can make any conclusions on value. If there is a $1500 diff between the two models, I would go with the SC - there's a lot of performance in this car for the money. The VVT engine gets great mileage and has power to boot. Tuner capability is limited from what I hear from the GM techs like Maven on this site. Yes, you could supercharge/turbo charge but the stock internals would have to be upgraded as well. The choice is up to you. I've decided to buy Chevy Cobalt based on the SC coupe, otherwise I'd be driving a Honda Accord Coupe V6-MT.

Hey man I posted some pics in my other thread, and they're in the gallery. It's only 3 for now cause I had some serious camera issues. I'm working on it so bare with me.

The car drives great I absolutely love it. Suspension is great and the heated leather is so amazing. It's fairly similar in appearance to the SS/SC, and I actually prefer the look of mine a bit more. Here's why: The front fascia is finished off at the bottom with a nice lip and reduces the need for a another bolt-on part. The rear fascia has the mesh integrated like the first concept car, which again looks sharp and saves the need for a bolt-on (possibly less-weight as a result?).

I only have 300 km on my car but the Ecotec is breaking in nicely. It's smooth, quiet, and has a deeper pitch than the 2.2. Oh and the VVT is so sweet watching the RPM fly once they hit 2500 RPM.

The engine is the same as in the pics - it has 4 black plugs (coil-on-lug ignition) and says Ecotect - VVT on the block. It's covered by that black plastic like the LS so it's hard to snap a good shot.

Here are the 3 pics again:

i like it alot but i feel mine would have the same look if i took off the STOCK body kit on the SS/SC, Removed the high mount wing and put a LS spoiler on it, put SMALLER rims on it

i think it is clean and thinking of talking the wife into having 2 SS(one super, and the other 2.4)

but it looks more plain that the SC

MAD props on your new SS tho
very cool 2.4

i would be curious as to how much boost could run with the 2.4 block bolted to the 2.0 S/c head with the valves and coolers

Or a 2.4 VVT head on the 2.0 to lower compression for more boost

Any ideas about Upper/Lower interchangeability for the Ecotecs
hybrid motors get serious power

It may be even easier than that if the Solstice Turbo comes out soon

You could remove the extensions that would work as well, but im not sure what the rear would look like (I'm pretty sure it doesn't have that integrated mesh piece).

Whatever you do you'll be happy. This is a great car and you'll have tons of fun with it. I love the clean look of mine and couldn't be happier.

What did you pay for it before TT&L?

Not sure what TT&L means but my MSRP was $26,1xx (can't totally remember) and I paid just over $24000

I'm 300km in so I havn't punched it but from what i've done it's plenty quick and definately pulls when you want it to.

Naturally the SS/SC is the top of the line so it's a little quicker, different suspension, but I have no complaints about going with the 2.4. The car rides and handles great - I love it.

I got a few more pics before the camera died that I'll post when I'm home. They're not very good tho. I'll get more up soon.

My bad my bad. Been really busy with work and out of town a lot. It's gonna be pretty tough to describe how it feels so maybe ask me something more specific and i'll comment on it.

As for the interior shots, i'll get some I swear. Although I should mention it's the same as the SS/SC but with little black heated seat switches, but i'll take some anyway.

Until then there's a shot from the updated Chevy site, it's the one with the girl getting in the door. That's exactly how mine looks except you don't get the white gauges in Canada (damn Pursuit).

I'm in love with this car. And it looks absolutely sexy in black. I'd really like to see it in a gray or silver though.

I've seen it in the new Lazer Blue, Silver, Black, and the Granite Blue. The silver was slick, but I prefer Arrival Blue over it. Also, the new Amethyst color was a nice color, it's just not really a type of color everyone wants :P.

In mine I got the Sport Cloth instead of the leather because it's hot as hell in AL and I don't feel like sweating all over the leather. Plus, I've had Sport Cloth in many of my other cars and it's nice. Got the sound system on it, automatic trans, air bags, cd/mp3 playback, chrome grille cover. I plan on adding some type of intake, and exhaust system when I find a good one.
