Lucky, I didn't get a silencer with mine.

I haven't gotten any tickets or flack over my exhaust, yet.

Check out all the bends on that one piece that goes over the axel, pretty crazy.

I removed my shove it thread, now that I've cooled down.

Fitment was great, Sounds GREAT...just a little too loud for me. I'm gonna have to get one of those silencers, just wondering how much power loss. I know on my turbo eco cavalier, the silencer killed power in that 3" exhaust.

Def. feels stronger and sounds mean!

ya I caught that just as you must have deleted it, what was the beef?

If you need loud, you should hear my Stg 3 SS with B+B turboback...YEOWWWW!!!lol

Hence the silencer, it is worth it for daily driving then when I feel like having some fun, 1 bolt out and bam!

Altered Atmosphere Motorsports makes the exhaust and it's $599 plus shipping.

Check the thread at the top marked sticky.

Looks like a pretty solid setup there. Should free up some ponies. Let us all know how it feels afterwards.

I may just find a good exhaust shop here in town and get a custom 3" made. $600 is too much for an exhaust.

the exhaust that looks like that, with a fart can on it, yes it's way too expensive.

Well Ti Tipped is more expensive plus the silencer

When was the last time you bought a full SS exhaust? $599 is not that expensive when you consider the B+B SS catback is $900+ for SRT's that is....

Most exhaust systems are in the 4-600 range for SS and I picked the muffler I wanted!

I went to a local shop here in CT Janetty Racing and had them quote me for the exact same exhaust with a similar muffler, I was quoted $1200

Congrats!! Post some pics of the install!!
Will do, I plan on it

PHXSS: I kinda feel the same way about most Catback Systems you would buy and install. I just moved away from Phoenix 2 mos ago. I always had my exhaust work done at a place called Pro Muffler in Peoria. They are at about 85th Ave and Bell Rd back behind Liberty Buick. They are very reasonably priced and I was always happy with the work. I had my Exhaust done on my Buick from the Manifolds to the Tip for $180.00 Thats a 3inch Downpipe with 2.5 inch catback with Magnaflow. Pretty good price in my opinion.

Wow, that cheap? Almost sounds too good to be true. I had a 2.5" custome catback done on my mustang a few years ago, and it sounded nice and all, but I found a nickel-sized hole on one of the pipes. After that, I'm not sure about cheap exhaust like that. However, being that I'm tired of the aftermarket taking so long, i may just call this place you talk of. Mchat showed me some custom work from "metal man fabrication" here in town. You heard of them?

I know a lot of people feel $599 plus shipping is too much however if you compare prices of mandrel bent stainless steel 3 inch cat back systems, I think you will find it's right in the ball park. If you also look at some of the bends in the exhaust that goes over the axle you will see there is a lot of bending and welding that has to be done for that piece, some of the less expensive systems are just a lot less complex (due to car design or maybe they decided to just route the exuast under the axle instead).

I think one some of the bigger companies come out with one you will see that $599 isn't so expensive. For example the 2.25 inch Magnaflow system for the Cavy is 782 dollars from Magnaflow.

Pretty nice looking exhaust.
$600 is not really that bad for that exhaust.
One thing to remember is you get what you paid for.
I can't see a custom mandrel bent tubing or even a chopped and welded exhaust for the SS/SC be under $400 and that is knowing someone.

Yes the material doesn't add up, but you are paying not only for the time but the years of experience.

Wow once again I will have an obnoxious exhaust. I thought I would get away from it by selling the 97 Z24 with the custom mandrel bent exhaust 2 1/2 ". But I guess I'm not. As soon as I get some time. I'm gettin one for myself as well. BTW - It sounds great !
