Best Tire Shine / Dressing?

I have always used Black Magic Tire Wet to dress my tires but recently decided to try out some Meguiars when the Black Magic ran out because I like all of Meguiars other products. I purchased the Meguiars Hot Shine (trigger spray) and used it last night by apllying it with a foam applicator. This morning I gave them a good look before I left and was not satisfied with the results. The tire does not look quite as glossy just more of a satin black finish. And yes i gave them a good washing before application.

So...... What do you guys like the best?, im thinking i may just go back to Black Magic when the meguiars is gone.

I agree...I havn't found any better than Tire Wet...lasts the longest, gives the best shine, and I prefer not the spray, but the foam applicator for low profile tires so as to not get it on the rims. If anyone knows of anything better, I'd be interested.

Anything gel based will give you a much longer nicer shine. The gel actually sticks to the tires and conditions them. Where the spray just covers it and eventually just fades away. Think of it like this. You have dry skin, someone comes by and sprays you with a mist of lotion. After about 10 mins you will have dry skin again. Apply the same lotion and give it a nice rub in and you have conditioned your skin. Same thing with the tires.

I use Megs tire gel. I'm very happy with the results. One coat for that satin look and two for the high gloss. I usually last a couple weeks too.

here's a pic, check my gallary for a few more.

I use black magic. Seems to last the longest of anything else I have used.

I work for a detail shop and we get 50 gallon drums of tire shine from CarPro. It lasts about a week, but its ok since its free lol. The shine is insane too.

Meguires NXT Insane Shine...I'll never use anything else again.

To the original poster of this...why did you apply it with a foam applicator when it's meant to spray right on? I'm guessing that's why it didn't turn out right...lol

I did the same with the black magic and it always turned out good. I do it so i dont over apply the tire shine and so i dont get over-spray on my wheels.

I did not say it didnt turn out right, I just said I wasnt as pleased as I am with Black Magic. Different products = different results

Eagle One tire shine with the foam applicator. I haven't found anything else that I've liked so far that won't spatter down the side of the car.

Hey,

My favourite so far is Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance gel.

Apply it in thin, even layers.

Personally haven't seen anything better looking or longer lasting yet.

you know if you apply it and then let it sit for a bit, it won't splatter all over the car...if you spray it on and drive right away of course it'll splatter.
