new to the forums, i have a question about rotors.

my 07 cobalt ss/sc's rotors have grooves in them already. went to the dealership, they sent me away, saying i ride my brakes! just cause im 18 so they don't take me seriously. i know for 7000km my rotors shouldn't be like that. is it inferior metal that they are using or what? it should be under warranty right? help me out guys.

rotors are not turned under warranty unless one grove is measured to 0.06". The rotors on the cobalt are not very strong at all. The pads are almost stronger than the rotors themselves much like the cadillac CTS. Our rotors can only be turned about one time before they have to be replaced. If you are not having stopping problems or any squealing/squeaking, then dont worry about it at all.
