what is a good 0-60 for a 2.2?

i have a stock LS and a dashhawk. i have timed my 0-60 several times, and it always comes up around 8 to 8.5 seconds.

you guys can get to 60? im joking. I think about 8 seconds is right. Think about it this way, that cool looking delorean car only went from 0-60 in about 10 seconds. i always found that interesting cause it looked pretty cool.

It's just like anything else, it varies from all types of factors but I think you're probably on the spot. I'm more of a 1/4 mile type of person than a 0-60 tycoon.

I think all these SS owners need to shut up lol The best time for the 2.2L i've seen is 7.8 seconds. I mean there just "average speed" pretty much.

just get a couple of base runs and a dyno, then do a few mods and see what you have.

7.5 - 8 seconds sounds about right for a stock 2.2l. Manual of course.

That should be about right. As for the Delorean, the ones that were released in the States had catalytic converters that dropped horsepower to 130 horsepower - LESS THAN us 2.2 boys have. Car and Driver said 0-60 times were at 10.5 seconds. Your 2.2 would blow its gullwing doors off!

that sounds about right

the 2.0 is in the lower 6s maybe higher 5s for the 0-60

the 2.4 is from either 6.8-7.2

so 8ish sounds right for you 2.2 guys

hell h3s do 0-60 in 10+ seconds...

to me the 0-60 time represents its launching capabilities

and the 1/4 mile, it's long term potential, some cars may have a lower 0-60 however do fairly well in the quarter for example, you know him as mr. vtakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...2006 civic si

and while were on the subject of civic si's, today on my way to work, there's this si hatch (2006) whos in the left lane, me in the right, well some ****** douche rolls out of a gas station on the right, makes an awkard right turn in front of me (this was at a red light), and blocks my chances of lining up with the si

you son of a b*#@$*, oh it so happens it was an old honda

I know that a 2.2 Cobalt LS automatic sedan was the slowest POS I've ever driven, if that says much for the others. Even with brake torque launching you would need a sundial for the 0-60.

You must have never driven a pickup, or a SUV, or very many cars ever for that matter.

Its an economy car, not a lightning bolt.

I've driven plenty of trucks and SUVs and they seemed quicker.
