Storage of rims / tires during winter

This evening, I'll be putting on my winter rims / tires (https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/wheels-tires-96/ordered-winter-tires-wheels-8320/), and I was wondering if any consideration needs to be given to how the stock wheels and tires are stored. Will they be okay in the garage? Should they be put into separate (semi-) airtight bags? Is it okay to stack them one on top of another? Maybe I'm just being paranoid about all this, but I'd rather not have any bad surprises come spring.

Putr them in sperate tire bags if you can and you can stack them on top of eachother. The bags need to breathe so airtight is not recommended. If your garage is dry then I wouldn't worry about applying a thin coat of grease to the rims, but if you're garage is damp then you might consider doing this. They should be fine for the next 4-6 months in diffferent temps. Moisture should be your biggest concern and if you can keep that controlled then you're good to go!!! Happy snowboarding!!!

You can clean the brake dust off before storing with spray nine and a rim brush...

I remove the valve core on mine. Just a habit.

Also I clean them up like new and put them in bags. Not air tight as said above.

I then put the in my basment.

I clean my rims, the holes for the studs, hose off the tires, and pick out the rocks wedged into the treads, and I keep them in my room so I can look at them over the winter.
