I did this last weekend.

It didn't feel as fast as I hoped, but I had a really really fat salesman sitting in the car with me, so that didn't help anything. The guy drove it for a bit before he handed it over to me and he bagged it pretty good. Very impressive brakes! (He did a panic stop from 120km/h.. oh yeah, and he was going 120 in a 50 )

The shifter and clutch felt awesome. Short movements in both, and the shifter is the tightest shifter I've ever felt on a domestic. I pushed it pretty hard into a couple corners, and it took em like a champ. Im sure I could have gone faster, but my brain was telling me not too because it realized that already at the speed I was going my Alero would be on its roof in the ditch.

Engine sound is wierd... it'll take some getting used to. Turbos deffinately sound way cooler

Hell yeah. It handles awesome on curves and corners.

I like the engine sound and the s/c whine. It doesn't "roar" but it sure as hell growls!!! :P

Definitly feels faster after your break-in period and first oil change

Mine didnt feel THAT fast on the first test drive either... but when i bought it a few months later and took it home, felt a lot faster. Duno if it was the test drive or if i just got a good one

No, after hearing that it makes total sense. I drive an alero with the 2.2 ECO in it right now, and after break in gas mileage went way up, and it got alot quicker. Good call.

Aren't the RL's RPM's limited by the ECU for the first little while as a break-in procedure? I'm sure I read that somewhere. If so that would definitely explain why it would get faster!
