also I have a a/f ratio gauge in my toolbox from an old e30 I had. no idea how to install it... its got 4 wires: red and black obviously for ign and gnd. and I believe two white wires.. guessing they hook up to o2 sensor(I think the rear one) correct me if im wrong. Any knowledge would be helpful

the 2.5" intake could cause an issue. the smaller the pipe, the more velocity the airflow will have. it could be moving so fast that its out of the mafs frequency range. not sure if thats the case, but its a possibility on acceleration at the higher rpms. a bigger pipe would be better, but you dont necessarily need a 3". im still on a stock intake as it performs well. you can typically pick those up on here used for cheap

the two white wires may be to hook up to eio inputs for tuning software. it doesnt have a harness for the sensor?

and yeah, we can get you tuned if you would like. pm me if you are interested. it would probably have to be down here though. i dont mind travelling, but id be surprised if i get the free time to take a trip in the next few months

i dont have any spare intakes, but i do have some spare gms2 injectors and a gms2 pulley laying around.

Is this thread active anymore? I use to be a active member in this thread but once I sold my cobalt in 2012 I kinda ventured away from it. However, a couple of days ago I picked up another 2005 Cobalt Sedan sunburst orange for 350.00 that will probably need another motor as it has a spun rod bearing at the moment. So might start coming back and posting if this thread still has active members.

wassup man! I just decided to check this. But yeah I can keep it active. Right now I am currently out of states but will be back in June. What part of Alabama are you located in? I know a few guys around that might know where to get an engine.

I live in the Anniston/oxford area.....ive already sourced a engine will probably get the car back on the road in the next month. Busy with other stuff so ill do what I can when I can......Actually debaged the car this weekend, removed the pinstripes and the small door molding on the doors. This was one of the first things I did to my old car and figured it should be the first on this one.

as of this moment after I put another motor in the plans are
1st setup : lowering springs, intake, 2.4 intake manifold, lsj throttle body with adapter from zzp with harness, cams, header, 2.5 catless downpipe, 2.5 catback , 2006 hhr 3.93 automatic from the stock 3.63 automatic ::06 hhr's used the same TCM as cobalts 05-06::, and figuring out tuning from there ::been emailing trifecta they don't officially offer a tune but may want to help they said::

2nd setup: piece together s/c kit , intake, header, 2.5 downpipe, 2.5 catback, trans swap, and figuring out tuning.

I've got a couple extra supercharger parts and an extra supercharger with a stock pulley on it. Intake manifold, tensioner and a couple other things. I'll round it back up when I get home in June

ok update....I finally pulled the old motor ::wasn't a spun bearing the connecting rod actually exploded in the cylinder wall:: out back in august and had started looking for a motor but about the same time I put a offer in on a house and it was accepted so needless to say this car hit the back burner fast.....fast forward to know it took 3 months to close on the house and at the current time I have no interest in the car so know im at the dilemma to either part it out or maybe go ahead and get another motor in a few months or so....in the middle of planning a wedding as well with my fiancé and its taking a good portion of the extra money we have right now lol
