Molnar Tech H-Beam Connecting rods! 2.0 LSJ & 2.4 LE5
Former lead engineer from Oliver & K1, Tom Molnar has set out to pioneer the connecting rod game again! Tom has developed his own line-up of products under his label Molnar Technolgies. His H-Beam Connecting Rods are made from 4340 billet material, heat treated to increase tensile strength and are shot peened to increase fatigue life. All rods have a wear resistant bronze bushing for long wrist pin life and feature ARP fasteners. All Molnar Technologies connecting rods are finished here in the US at our factory near Grand Rapids Michigan. Sizes are held +/- .0001" which is the tightest tolerances you will find in the racing industry.
1) How much power can they hold?
Well, we have customers make up to 550whp on these with no issues. Tuning is what's going to make or break a rod. Nothing more, nothing less.
2) Are they shot peened like rod x?
Yes they are! They also have bronze wrist pin bushings and APR 2000 rod bolts that can be upgraded to a higher strength rod bolt per your request.
3) Why are they cheaper than rod x?
Well as we all know, foreign steel is much less expensive than domestic steel. The steel used to make these rods is a specific grade 4340, which is to Molnar's specs. Less expensive raw materials = less expensive production cost, which equals less of your hard earned dollars to get the job done.
4) Is it true you guys, single handedly commissioned Molnar to make these rods for this community?
Yes we did!

Nice!
These are made with Chinese steel and finished here.
Coming soon!

To be 100% honest, it doesn't matter to me in this case. Tom has been making rods for over 30 years and for some of the biggest name in the rod game. His rods we have used in countless apps with cars making up to 200hp per cylinder! He uses ARP 2000 rod bolts as his default bolt. The rods need almost need minimal adjustment at the machine shop for balancing within a tenth of a gram because he holds very high standards and tight tolerances. These rods are a pure win.

All of the K1 rods say Made in China on the box. Not sure what you are referring to.
