Did you rebuild it? And I don't think the kit is a bad price for all it comes with. Clutch, flywheel, axles, cables, etc. if it wasn't for having to spend a grand on a lsd I would be running one (also if I didn't have a spare f35). You will do well with it.

I agree it is a good price, the f40 kit is still tempting even at 1k for a lsd.

The transmission is brand new no need for a rebuild, maybe down the road I can buy that led if I see I really need it

I will say it for the 20th time- I really love the ratios in that quaffe 6 speed f35 conversion. But it's about the same money as the f40 with kit.

Honestly idk how that quaffe would be. Would be nice to see some people running it and hear more info on them. All I know is that the f40 is a really smooth transmission and I really like it. Then again the f35 isn't bad with the short shifter it does make it feel a lot better

From what I've read the issue with the f35 is flexing, especially where 3rd gear sets on the shaft. The quaffe setup probably only makes that worse. The gears themselves on quaffe setup are more of a straight cut setup and are rumored to be stronger due to them being made of different material. I'm sure it shifts smoother and the gears would probably hold more power. But if flexing is what kills the trans I don't think the 6 speed addresses that at all. Love the ratios in the gearing. If I was staying at 325hp or less I would probably pull the trigger on it. I hate the 1-2 gear ratios in the f35's. You will have to report back on how much you like the f40.
How did you find a new f40 and what did it set you back?

Infraredline has chewed 2 6 speed transmissions up since he did the conversion. It's definitely not bullet proof haha. But the ratios are most definitely better though you're right.

Not many guys are running the kind of power he is putting down too. That car of his is a beast.
Somehow you always end up finding the weak link if you push it hard and long enough.

Haha ya he daily drives it in the 580whp range. I don't think it has seen 650whp many times to be honest.

I ran 500whp on my F35 all summer and it never skipped a beat.
