I do need to send my rears in for R&R though, think both adjusters are toast. Once I do that I'll buy a new pair of fronts and be set for suspension until I can afford YYZ, Pedders are alright for now.

Just wondering if robertmichaels (tried pm'ing him and never got a response) had any luck with his install and if anyone knows what the correct number in millimeters is when you are cutting the struts. I'm thinking about doing koni's in the future and just want to have the right measurements before I start cutting.

the folks that are having issues just read what Koni say ( not always correct, particularly for the strut length) Then they think "just drill a hole in the bottom". Its not that simple. Getting the lower fastening hole concentric in the housing is important. We fixture the strut in a mill and do it that way.
No one does that way but me, I am confident.
But I dont stop there, and I wont say what else we do lol. Too many copiers . Too much time and effort to get there. Its a constant evolution as well, as we find out new things and develop new versions. Nothing here stands still...

Custom valving to our specs is done in cali for retarded money. But I think its worth doing ifyou track the car. I wish bilstein did a strut for this car lol
My contacts at Bilstein are all either big executives or retired and I have lost touch. I beleive that Bilsteins make some of the best shocks out there overall for performance and durability.
I worked together with Bilstein in 1985 time frame on doing selective ride work and ZR1 C4 development ( Lotus engined 4 cammer version). These germans are very good at what they do...

A long time ago fidget brought some rusty koni struts for me too look at. They could not be saved. But the issue is koni give false info. When the struts are cut too short bad things happen. The insert flops around and then the housing gets damaged The bottom bolt is a rare thread pitch ten dollars for a new bolt. I use a tool I made to draw the insert into the strut housing so it is held so tight it will never move. If you press the insert in it will probably not seat correctly For redlines I am working on a way to make them adjustable without removing the strut which is currently not possible the strut mount is different than the cobalt. Now the issue will be people not wanting to pay what it takes and just wanting the info with no time invested. Lol
