You could use any cobalt struts, even FE1.

Ones out of an Ion will work too, you'll just have to reuse the top off your stock ones.

I was bored. You can't beat these at $80 https://elpaso.craigslist.org/pts/4726988973.html

Wow, I've had koni inserts installed in my car for a while now cut way to short, per the unfortunately generic koni instructions.....

Time to send them to Powell or try again on another set of struts.

Sure powell will chime in but prepped meaning cut at the appropriate length, powdercoated yellow with upgraded hardware.

So whats the best daily driving adjustment for rear koni yellow shocks when I have xxx bar and yyz v.2 springs? I think I've had mine set at 1 turn from soft and rides kinda rough and feels like it falls in pot holes.

have them 1/4 of a turn from full soft and they ride really good to tell you the truth i couldnt be happier. I can tell the difference already when giving turns at higher speeds. but dont have my sway bar in yet so i can say it will feel the same once its in

Plus I don't think you have yyz springs. That would ale the biggest difference.

So I just adjusted the yellows to 1/4 turn. That wasn't right. It feels smoother over bumps but bouncy. I don't know if I should turn it back to 1 turn or set it to 3/4th turn. What do y'all think?

I don't feel like that would be enough. It doesn't seem like it handles that great with 1/4th turn and its really bouncy. I have the yyz springs and xxx bar.

^^^this. I run middle of the adjustment range at the rear. How much weight you carry in the rear makes a difference. Cobalt/HHR/Redline are all different for front/rear wheel weight balance, with nothing in the trunk, etc. Let us know how it works out for you.

I'm wishing I had my Koni rears installed (adjusters are broken, need to send them in for warranty) for the trip to Salem with a light trailer tomorrow.

So I set my shocks to 3/4th turn and it rides really nice. It's a smoother ride and performance wise I think it's better. It seems like it has a little more body roll now which help the turns. Plus it doesn't skip as much now so it handles much better on turns that are bumpy and rough. I would recommend y'all trying this setting if you have my setup.

I don't remember what my rears are at, maybe 3/4 to a full turn. I adjusted it once and never messed with them since.
