Wobble surprise

Hey guys I have a wobble on my car that isn't making much sense to me. Its not a light wobble is very aggressive like something is about to break. It feels like im driving on a gravel road or like my wheel isn't tighten (which it is) I replaced all the mounts thinking it was that (zzp and bwoody) and the axles. When I replaced the axles the wobbling went away for almost two weeks and then came back. Next I'm going to try to change the Control arms but can anybody tell me it bad control arm bushings would cause a serious wobble on acceleration? And do you have any ideas before I throw more unnecessary money at the car. Please help guys. Thanks.

Unbalanced wheels? Bent rim? Bulge in tire?

I got rid of the wobble. It feel like I'm driving on rock right now. I'm going to try to replace the axles tomorrow to see if that fixes the issue. So far I replaced my motor mounts, trans mounts and control arms. I'm hoping when the motor mount was bad that is what made the new axle wear out. Now the Motor mounts are good I'm going to try with new axles and see if that fixes it. I doubt it has anything to do with the tires or rims because when I first put these axles in the wobble stopped for about 2 weeks.

Wobble stopped after replacing the control arms, trans mount and motor mount. Now it just feel like I'm driving on gravel. Hopefully the new axles cures that permanently. I will keep you guys posted on what happens.

So what was the cause of the roughness?

sounds like my problem haha

mine would do it above 65 and i can let go of the wheel and it shakes back and front pretty violent

i had the axles replaced back in oct/nov and it was gone. A few weeks ago it was back for a few days

in that time i replaced endlinks, cabs(rear ones) and tranny mount inserts.

it feels better but i think the passenger axle is going out. i dont have lsd so it drives fine still but something doesnt seem right

i have a new axle for backup in the trunk

Sorry for the super late response. But I ended up changing out dam near the whole front suspension and all the mounts.

I got the wheels balanced, aligned, new control arms, tie rods and axles.

Mine wobbles a little when going 50-65 then after stops and before its not that bad. I had changed my tires and it went away. Got tie rod ends installed and aligned it and it started again but not as bad as before. Could it be my axles? It was going smooth after the new tires. After the alignment it wobbles a little. And the tures are aligned correctly I got the paper from the alignment machine.

I'm experiencing this too, and I am replacing my control arms with FE5 with spherical bushings. Will report whether it helps or not, but I'm 99% sure it'll be fixed

I would definitely try the axles its a relatively inexpensive fix. I have had to change the axles on my car at least 4-5 times. I believe I spend about $120 on the axles from Napa and had the new ones on within 45 minutes. When I first got the wobble feeling about 6 years ago it was caused by the axle. I replaced it and it went away.

You may want to check your mounts as well. I figured out that my motor mounts were worn out pretty bad and that was causing my axles to go bad really fast.

I get this in my HHR but only under low speed like between 15-25 mph then it smooths out. I haven't tried to replace anything yet...I've been trying to do research to see what the problem could be. I've on a set of Ksport coils so I'm thinking it may be a little bit of axle bind.

I just did the spherical CABs and wow it took away a TON of the wobble especially around 45-70. Now I really need an alignment though, and probably a tire balance. I can smell rubber if I go over 70. Also did my poly trans mounts and omg the rear one made me want to commit genocide on a randomly selected people.
