Arrow Standalone / Piggyback ECU Options

So, I have an 06 L61. The motor that can only be mail order tuned by Trifecta / WOT. Since the car is becoming more and more of a road race car, we have struggled, and Im thinking about going to some kind of stand alone or piggyback ECU so I can get someone locally to be able to live tune the car for optimum performance.

Has anyone gone this route with their cobalts / ecotecs? Is there a preferred option that seems to work best with the GM's? This is an area I'm still reading up on, but just curious to see what others might know. Thanks.

Negative. HPT does not support the E16A ecu

Just curious because I haven't researched it, but has anyone tried to swap an earlier or later ecu in that is hpt compatible?

I THINK an e67 and/or e37 might be able to be swapped in and setup as a standalone relatively easily. I know both can definitely be setup as a standalone, but I'm just not 100% on the pinouts vs an e16a.

Look in the 2.2/2.4 forced induction thread or stickies, back in the day before hptuners there were a couple piggybacks that people used successfully.

I'll see what else I can scrounge up data wise. Its just frustrating. I go do my 20 min data logs on the highway for Trifecta, and they get the car running decent, but then we go to the track and it just doesn't put out what its capable of.

Hmm. I see Axelthered used an AEM F/IC6 to piggyback his trifecta tune into being better. that may be the way to go, especially once i finish figuring out how i want to build this motor for next season
