Tuning/Chips

Hi, recently I've been considering attempting to tune my SS. However, I heavily lack competence in this area of automotive knowledge. Would anyone be able to explain what/how tuning does/is done/costs/ etc? I'm just trying to get a handle on it. Everywhere I look online I get 200 differing answers, all of which contradict eachother. Thanks for any help I can get guys.

Get HP tuners then go onto hp tuners forum and you will find detailed posts on exactly how to tune your vehicle. Or you can also have someone else do the tune for you until you learn how to do it yourself. Start small making small changes.

Do NOT try to tune it yourself then, you WILL hurt your engine.

look around the forum and im sure all of your questions will be answered, making a post like this is not going to solve any of your issues. Its not like someone can just say do x y and z and your good to go. It takes time and a lot of learning so get started on your hw.

I was more so just looking for some basic information in one CONSOLIDATED place and then from there do some homework based of response but I guess I'll just have to delve into the forums

Yeah, all the information is there on the hptuners forum and most is even in sticky's at the top and they reference different threads. Its a lot of information to take in, but if you're willing to learn everything is there.
