I have a 09 ss and i was planning on getting buy a pcm from zzp with their tune on it. I have a couple questions tho.

First of all my car is completely stock minus a cai. It says the tune raises the psi to 22psi. Is that with or with out the 3 bar maps? Also I read that it spiked to 25psi with stock maps. Is the stocks maps only good at being accurate up to 23psi or 25psi? How safe is this tune on stock maps? I don't want to get the gms1 maps yet btw lol

No need for the 3bars if it only goes to 22psi (stock 2.5bar can read 22psi). I would honestly find a good direct injection tuner either local or get a remote tune from one of the guys on here over the canned zzp

I had the ZZP tune on my car for a few months before getting an hp tune. Stock maps. Just let them know your mods list, mainly intake so they can tune the MAF for it.

It spiked a few times but nothing to be really concerned about. I'm on 24psi with stock maps now with no issues

Don't want to do anything like hp tuners ATM. The canned tune is cheap but still wakes up the car a lot from what I read. I have other things ATM the purchase ( damn lady keeps bringing up the "ring" ugh) and this price is perfect for now.

Thanks for the info. I read spikes and got nervous about the stock maps. Really think I'm going to buy this very soon. Going to do boost reduction in first since I can tell the previous owner must of did a lot of dig races. once in a while when I get on it a bit in first, it pops out when i go to shift. At least it's not when I'm getting out it tho lol

I was pretty happy with my ZZP tune. It's conservative as a canned tune should be, but it's night and day difference over stock and I still pulled bolted/tuned wrx's all day. Now I just freight train them lol

I'm sure they could but with how conservative they would make it for safety purposes you will be nullifying the reason of switch to E.

Your better off getting remote tuned either by them or another tuner so you can get the timing you want out of it.

I like my ZZP canned tune. I did get the 3bar sensors though. I am constantly hitting 25psi with WOT pulls. Spins the tires in 2nd.
