LDK cobalt vs M3
Not quite sure of the year of beamer, probably freaked him out.
So sitting behind a nice looking M3 330 HP version,I was wondering if he was going to go we both get on freeway he cuts in one lane mashes it I do as well he got the jump but it was pretty even. We are approaching a slight curve on freeway both hitting 110'ish? wasn't really looking at speedo. Both neck and neck around the corner.... straight away opens I mash it down and start catching him, crappy thing is he had a car in front of him. Both were hitting the 140 range 4th gear was ending.
So after that he stays behind me then takes an exit a few miles down the road.
I know peoples thinking initially 4 cylinder they don't go anywhere... bet that really put a damper on his day.
Been my first real run with the new motor put in 18k miles ago. I was browsing around M3 boards funny how they mock us, some people were wise on the cobalts not many

Car half priced.... I don't mind the cobalt at all got 2 cars that were under estimated.
Sharp beamer yes but all that $$ I'll pass. When you have a mid 20k car run down your 50-60k car probably not best feeling... might be better car but it's double cost of cobalt.... not sure on year he had a wing and everything.... early 2000'ish all I know
Least he didn't run the fiero would've been way worse... but cars down for paint and turbo.

M3's are generally pretty slow but still awesome to **** with their egos. Local tuner had a brand new M4 and I pulled him by a car from 60-180km/h and he said he wasn't surprised as he knows what these cars can do lol.
2 weeks later he hit a porcupine and it smashed his oil cooler and it dropped all the oil from the engine. Total loss

I love the older NA versions... they sound amazing With their 8k+ rpm redline. I pulled an e46 m3 fully exhaust, intake and tune in my old LSJ... I was making roughly 300whp with power still climbing at redline with an awesome power band (people overlook this a lot.) Main advantage I had was my car weighed quite a bit less.

I find this site has a lot of f*ck boys you have to sift through. You are correct though, he did not pull on an M4. In fact, he gave it away when he said the M4 owner "wasn't surprised by it and knows what these cobalts can do".
Everyone know BMW owners like the smell of their own farts. They wouldnt appreciate the smell of other people farts or admit to it.

The new M4s make 425whp bone stock. And since we're on the topic I actually have seen an LNF pull one lol. He's my friend/local buddy with a Saturn sky LNF running quite a nice sized turbo, valvesprings, full bolt ons and a bunch of meth. That car moves out. A stock turbo LNF would have no chance.

Oh have you guys raced one? More internet bench racing going on.
Nothing more I can do, no video of it happening we were just cruising and thought we'd give it a go. Should clarify from 60-180kmh I was about a car ahead and he started pulling back but we had to let out of it.

If it was an older NA model M3 (e46 or e90... 425 hp) I wouldn't doubt it, but the newer M3/M4s just keep pulling up top. So I just don't think it's feasible unless their was a driver error on his part.
I'm very familiar with both the LNF and BMW platforms and am certainly not bench racing.
Like I said... I've personally seen my friends LNF sky pull two separate M3s. Stock M3 he pulled a good 3-4 cars, the tuned one he pulled around 1-2 cars. Don't want to start bashing so don't take it the wrong way, but he's in another league then a stock turbo LNF. He's roughly 425whp in a RWD platform with a spot on tune. Not even a ZFR cobalt would stand a chance, let alone a stock turbo one.

I pulled on a 6spd M4 from 60-120ish in the previous sedan running the K04R and ethanol. Easy 2+ cars and pulling.
So for Canadia's car to beat one up to the top of 3rd gear sounds right. His car runs hard and that's money for stock turbo. After the fact, the M4 could very well creep back and pull away.
They're quick but they're not ungodly fast stock.

And honestly... I believe your war story. A K04R WITH ETHANOL is definitely going to move out on the highway. I was more referring to a STOCK tiny turbo LNF on 91 PUMP gas pulling one a similar amount to what you stated. You should race your setup against a stock LNF turbo on pump gas... I bet you guys would be neck and neck considering you had similar outcomes with the M4.
Understand what I'm getting at?
You're making a lot more power and torque and holding it a lot better at redline, where as the stock LNF is dying up top.
2015 BMW M4 vs. 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera: Final Scoring, Performance Data, and Complete Specs
I said "nearly" 120. Car and driver did 119 bone stock and I regularly see them trap 115+.

I understand there is definitely a lot more room for driver error with the 6 speed... and no matter how good of a driver he is... he's not shifting as fast as the dual clutch automatic. Seems pretty different to me
