Varrstoen Es2 Questions

Ok so I'm looking to get some es2's in a 18x9.5 and I want to run a 245 tire my question is what offset would work best? Also what size spacer would I need? I'm on ksport coils to.

i have 18x9.5 +30 with a 5mm spacer is what i have, it clears brembos. however running a 245 likely isn't going to make your fenders happy. i have 235s and they have rubbed my fenders multiple times, especially the rears. I should have ran my 225s and my fenders would have been happier.

Sounds like a tight fit. I'm running 17x9 +35 with a 235/40 profile, no spacer and have a fingertip or so of space in the front between wheel and strut just for reference

Guys who have the Es2's Did you get them custom drilled to 5x110, Did you do a hub swap to 5x114.3, are you running a 5x110 to 5x114.3 adapter, I haven't read any true way to get varrstoen's on the ss/tc around the brembos without the thread going way off subject. If custom drilled to 5x110 what spacer are your running to clear brembos?

[Edit]: I really want a set of 18" Es2's but dont want to do a hub swap or use a 5x110 to 5x114.3 adapter

just get it redrilled to 5x110 its an extra $100. and use a 5mm spacer with 18x9.5 30 offset and it will clear brembos. this is posted in a lot of threads i don't know how you cant find it. for lug nuts i used centering lug nuts on the front so i didn't need longer studs.

I read through an entire varrstoen thread that had like 8 pages or so and it started out great but no one said exact specs then it derailed and turned into a battle of who actually first put the Es2's on a cobalt. I stopped reading after 3 pages of arguing and the search doesn't do justice.

Do you have any issues with the tire/wheel rubbing on the suspension? I know you said earlier that they rubbed the fender what are you dropped on and how far are you dropped? Im thinking of lowering but not going super low... maybe a finger or two above the wheel.

Got any pics of your 235's on the wheel?

235's on 17x9, if your worried about rubbing should probably get a different rim unless your not gonna lower it.

Would a 245 rub on anything inside? my lowering goals are more a leveling goal sitting just above the tire (one-two finger) with maybe slight slight mexiflush with beefier tires. im not a huge fan of the stretched tire look.

Also thats with a 5mm spacer?

I mean im not a fan of stretched tire so i would opt for a wider tire. 245 or 255 Im just wondering if they would fit under these cars without rubbing.

235 is a baby stretch my wheels offset is +30 with 5mm up front to give me some clearance on the struts, the left didnt rub but the right did go figure haha camber was off or something

my fenders are rolled slight pull, no fender liners up front and the tires hit the fenders on bad dips in the road. if they were more stretched it wouldnt be a problem....sooooo a bigger tire means u better monster truck it

the rears are fine as fair as i can tell, they move back and forth

i can make u turns too

I mean dakotaspeirs arent bad looking to me I like the wide look. Makes me think of a bulldog look big wide and tough I wouldnt drop it probably as low as this car but they are only 17x9s Im not afraid to get a small monster truck out of it

I've got 18X9.5 +35 all the way around

Had to run a 5mm spacer in the front, only reason being I couldn't get the center cap on without it, axle got in the way lol
And still have bout a finger width between the rim
And the strut. Rear almost fit mint with no pull.
Running 225/45 tires

I do plan on running 255 or 265 tires the 225s just don't cut it with over 400hp
Gonna make some carbon fender flares

Do you feel that the 255 or 265 would fit no problem then? Are you lowered at all?

He is on bags. 245 is the widest tire you can fit on the car without huge spacers or rubbing struts. some do run 255s+ but need hella big spacers to push the wheels out, but then you have to worry about hitting the fender once pushed out so far. That's why the man said about making fenders. Haha.

Here are my 18x9.5 +30 with a 235/40, if you run a 235 or more you better have some stiff coils. If your worried about your fenders do not get these rims, or stretch a 215 or 225. Name: IMG_2026.jpg
