I do a lot of highway driving so I'd like the extra topend. I have no brains so I know I'll need a new trans. I have a F35 core with a LSD so I can get a 4.05 no LSD save some cash then decide what I want to do.

Matt are you machining out the current ZFR housing or building a new one? If you're building a nee one what A/R are you guys thinking of?

I have brains to drive it but I still broke my trans. Little downshift to third and the gas was enough to shatter real quick. If it happens, it happens. You'll regret not getting the LSD. My buddy's sc didn't have an LSD and it sucked with traction completely. Mine with LSD and k04 was good, but now with the zfr and 4.45 trans it definitely helps but not as much it should. Just need some decent meats now though.

If ZZP builds a new housing with a moderate A/R then the 7163 has the possibility of being easier on the trans like a 256et and I may be able to get away with the 4.05

I do like it but I do wish there was one more gear for those long trips. Went to Maryland 2 weeks ago and went 362 miles on roughly 11.2 gallons. Its basically 32 mpgs. Not bad at all for what it is and I occasionally did pulls here and there. Last year I went to Hershey and made it there with 36mpg and that was all straight highway and one or two pulls. Very impressed with it. Just sucks on highways with the high revving where as another gear would really help.

Very true. It really all depends on what they release.

Never seen even close to 53lbs/min on a 6758 EFR even on Wert's car at 28 psi.

I bet ZZP hit it when they did the original ZFR testing when they hit 540hp

If the pushed it close to 40 psi maybe. I still take their dyno results with a grain of salt because 540 whp on a mustang dyno is impossible for anyone else to duplicate with a ZFR.

I think the 7163 can make 540hp but yea really tough for the 6758 to do that

I knew what you were talking about the 6758. Most people are around 450hp with the 6758 so I'm guessing the 7163 will be around 500-550hp

Most with a 6758 are around 400. Not a lot break 400 unless on E or other methods. Some from time to time do though, but 450 is a different story. Not a lot come close unless drastic measures are taken. (E, fifth injector set up, cam, and what not)

I'm running meth but right now I'm only looking to get around 475hp. I'm hoping since the 7163 is bigger it'll be nicer on the trans. I heard that the 7163 is a really smooth turbo

Wert's car sees 45 lbs/min max but his DA is around 2000-3000ft. This would be around 50 lbs/min at sea level.
