Is it possible to use the LDK long engine with LK9 manifolds and ECU ie replace existing engine?

Well this would be good knowledge for a Colbalt SS SC with a dead LSJ motor as well!

I know LDK has got variable timing but can you just lock it out and use existing timing wheel and ECU and not run DI as you have MPI in the intake manifold?

Short block is a small modification. The head would be a ridiculous amount of work and not worth it. If it's even possible.
