I'm going to grow a pair and start an Official thread on here. Basically, you're posting the the times that you caught a person or group of individuals staring at your beloved Cobalt! Let's keep this fun and entertaining! I'm sure there are a good handful of us on here that have spent a lot of time and money into our Balts and it's always nice to see someone appreciate your hard work. Anyway, I guess I start the first one!


** Now that the summer is here, my car is kept clean on a daily basis! It's my daily driver as it is also the only I car I currently own. I have a 09 Sport Red Tintcoat SS TC Coupe. Anyway, I have been meaning to post this for some time now. I had a blue 08 Evo X GSR before my LNF (payments were too expensive to keep) and let me tell you... the entire 2 years I owned that car, I never got half the looks I got in the first MONTH of having my SS TC! I didn't think anything of it at first. The SS naturally looks like a nice little car but after a while, it kind of creeped me out! I also noticed that I got a CRAP TON more looks from women than I did from the usual guys. It was an extreme pickle party with the Evo!!
Anyway, it finally dawned on me! It was the color!!!! Women love the maroon color! Not sure why but they really do like it! I get almost twice the stares when I actually detail my LNF and get the tires shined up really good!

Anyway, no matter what color Balt you have, let's share some of those funny and interesting stories of catching people in the act of staring at your pride and joy!

 

Was going to drop off a ton of stuff at Goodwill, girlfriend didn't want to hold an old 50lb monitor in her lap, so I did and she drove.

In the parking lot, there was a local group of turbo tuner cars gathered. They all were staring and looking at us. My car is loud and we drove right by them. Girlfriend was too embarrassed to look at them. They thought we were coming to the meet! Bet they were hoping a girl had a car like this, hehe.

But we were in a hurry and couldn't stop.

i get ppl that stare when i pull up to the races and they hear the cams in the car...then i jus turn it off and say it has a vacuum leak...now the idle is raised so no1 hears it lol

 

It's definitely the maroon color plus I make sure to blow past everything :p

 

Crystal red color + retros + Pshhhh turns heads all the time. Can't tell you how many people stare or try and "play" with me on the freeway. some people think I am trying to race them too cause of my BPV on the free way letting off the gas haha

 

I vote that when we tell stories, we must post one pic of the car.

It's true though, the thing that gathers almost EVERYONE's attention is the BPV constantly queefing into my K&N while driving around everyone is expecting to see Brian O'Conner in a Lancer but then they see the Cobalt and have to double take to figure out if that's what was queefing

 

i have the shocker sticker on my passenger side back window. well when i was at a stop light a car full of kids pulls of next to me, this loud obnoxious douche leaned out the window and yelled "SHHHOOCCKKER BRO!" hahah everyones always sayin something about it

I tell them it is a cobalt and they smirk or laugh, then end of convo

 

With the cobalt always had girls telling me "cute car" Now with the Evo, it's gone from "cute" to "awesome" or "badass" or something like that. Lot more heads turning with the Evo. I've had quite a few people pass by me in parking lots asking me to detail their cars after seeing mine.

^ This. Chicks love my Nova compared to my Cobalt. Of course they wouldnt know what to call it if it didnt have a big NOVA emblem on the Fenders...

 

Mine always seems to turn heads. I get a good bit of compliments and questions asked from guys. Girls call it cute.

 

x3 with the girls calling it cute. Guys laugh and say, you have a "Cobalt". Not even worth the stare or look out here in LA lol. :/

Got stuck on a speed bump a few weeks back at the movie theater. The looks on the families faces as I had to have my friends get out of the car were pretty hilarious. haha

 

I got made fun of by girls for driving a cobalt, now i just get a bunch of wiener lovers in the evo.

 

 

I love when people stare at my car and think its just a stock cobalt..but when they hear the WHINE as I WOT pass em...makes me smile

 

I get the normal looks for teenagers and stuff, me and the wife was leaving icecream shop one time and I noticed a group of teens checking out the car talking about bad ass it looked, i always enjoy having my ego stroked so I dont mind it, If I let my friend Steven drive it he likes to do first gear pulls leaving sonic in his hometown for some reason LOL. He has a lsj also but he is is still waiting to get his stage kit put on.

 

I was at the dealer checking out some of our competition with the 2013 Genesis Coupe. One of the salesman took a look at my car and said "That's a sweet ride man!" I just grinned and said "Thank you". It looks so much different now that I have it lowered lol

I get them from tons of people driving the other way. Like a" what the hell is that"? That's the only way i can describe it. And there have been occasions where people have asked questions
