hey everyone. Just picked up an lNF sedan saturday in van alstyne texas.


car runs and drives great however, i can not figure out if it has a tune on it or if it is still on the stock tune.

car spikes 23psi of boost then falls off to about 20psi by 6k rpms.

tha car also is throwing DTC p2227 for barometric pressure. but is not it limp mode.


if anyone can help me figure out if the car is in fact tuned that would be great.

also if anyone knows how to address this cel for barometric pressure i would gladly appreciate it!!!!

 

Car is tuned

 

You definitely have a tune of some sort weather it's gms1 or one of the custom tune options is unclear.

Check your your map or tmap sensor and see if it has a blue sticker on it or if it's black. That would help us indicate weather it's gms1 or not. Won't 100% clarify which but help us eliminate some options.

So then ur either trifecta or hp tuned. Does traction control performance mode turn the tune on or is it always on?

 

Baro sensor is built into the ecu, but gets its readings from map and tmap. U possibly have a bad map sensor. Anyone else shed more light on this?

 

He put the gm stg sensors in an the light went away an the car is running better

 

Yeah I came to the conclusion the car is definitely tuned. I installed the 3 bar map sensors today and the cel went away.

At WOT boost spikes to 25psi then falls off to about 22psi by 6k now and the car has way more power now.


Now to figure out if it's trifecta or HP tuned


I believe it's always on. Is that a way to tell if it's HP or trifecta?

 

I definitely think HP tuned.

 

We can guess but without seeing a data log hard to say. If u can somehow log ur a/f ratio at wot with a scan gauge or app we could tell u pretty quick what tune it is. Trifecta will have wot 12-12.3 a/f hp will have around 12.8
