2 kills, 1 outting.

So today I decided to take my baby out for a drive since it was such a nice day out here in MN. Within the first 5 minutes of my drive I pulled up behind a green, new body style Camaro SS at a stop light. I didn't think much of it other than the ugly paint on the car, though sure enough he saw me in his rear view mirror, and when that light turned green he took off. I of course couldn't let this moment go to waste so I did the same. (Keep in mind I'm coming from behind him) So as I NLS into 3rd I get out from behind him and get beside him, NLS into 4th... start pulling away from him by about half a car... What does this guy do you wonder? breaks extremely hard and pulls off to a turn lane at a green light we were approaching. I laughed and than laughed some more, I did not know this person so I am only going to assume his car was stock, regardless it felt damn good.

Now kill #2 (sorry for the lengthy explanations)

At this point in my drive I'm about 10 minutes from arriving home on my already great drive. Now I'm on the freeway approaching a Lexus IS F, I pass him going roughly 80mph REALLY not thinking anything of it because, generally (in my experience) people in high end sports cars don't run there car's as they're meant to. Anyways to my disbelief this guy comes flying up beside me after I had passed him, and I look over to see himself and his girlfriend staring at me, so we slow down to about 60mph I drop it in 3rd and honk my horn 3 times. We both take off... I immediately started pulling on him, as I NLS into 4th I have about 2 cars on him and we're going about 125-135mph so I let off... Now what does this guy do? The noob fly by... I laughed again knowing this guy probably is going to tell everyone how he beat a Cobalt SS in a race and yada yada... I know what I did and so do you gents, so I am satisfied.

*Disclosure* Ashley is a 2008 Cobalt SS with GMS1, Injen CAI, Injen UCP, Forge BPV, and MPx catless DP. I can only assume both of the cars I raced today were stock. Regardless it feels damn good to know I beat 2 cars that are easily $30k more then my car. That is all, and thanks for reading!

that just goes to show you can have a lot of hp and still be a slow car. I have seen so many cars at the track that run 14's + that have 400 + hp

It's not exactly surprising. Similar weight and power to the Camaro. Considering RWD drivetrain loss it's not a surprising loss to a much lighter car with a similar to better power to weight ratio.

V6 Camaro's dont stand a chance even from a dig. I ran two of them at the track (thought one was an SS cause it had the RS package) blew him away and thought there must be something wrong with his ride until i realized it was an RS not an SS. Threw me off cause there was an identical SS that was also running that day. Easily put two lengths on both RS Camaros i ran against.

sorry buddy.... you probably went up against an is250 or is350 with f-sport package... YOU did not race an IS F or you would have been smoked...

IS-F 416hp and 371ftlb
SS/TC GM1 290hp and 320ftlb

You do realize that a stock IS F and a GMS1 Cobalt SS have almost the exact same track times right? It's about power to weight man... those IS F's have roughly 1000lb's on a Cobalt. Believe as you wish though.

Both those cars run 12.8's to low 13's trapping well over 110 on a bad day. Seems more likely u raced an RS camaro and a IS350 to be honest. Still good kills in my book.

I test drove the 2009 ISF its not that fast, my cobalt is faster from a 40 roll.

what does track times have to do with a roll at 60mph to 135mph?

once again no idea what that has to do with anything?

And so? how are you competiting with a car that has

126 more HP
51 more FT-LBS
3 More gears <- better acceleration/higher top speed

seriously guys.... that's like saying a cobalt with 400hp is faster than a GTR?

Nice kills.

Didn't wanna make another thread but if I raced a 350z from a 30 roll shld I have put 3-4 lengths on him by 100? He rev'd at me at a light and needless to say after the race he raised his windows and didn't rev again
