2010 SS Passenger airbag sensor problem
 

Hi i have a 2010 ss and the previous owner swapped the seats out with the ion redline recaro seats. My airbag light is on and so i took out the passenger seat and I noticed theres only the connector and its not plugged in and theres nothing to plug it into. I went to the junkyard and started looking at seats and noticed theres a difference between the connectors. my car has a black end on it and the connector on every single cobalt at the junkyard has a purple one.
i tried looking online and there are no 2010 ss seats for sale at all.

my question is,
is there a way around this?
Does the 2010 ss have a different connector than all the other cobalts?

What year Ion did they come from? I can't recall if the early or only later Ion Redline seats came with a passenger occupancy sensor, basically a pressure switch that in combination with the seat belt switch is used to tell if someone is in that seat and if they weigh enough to activate the airbag.

Also the since the first gen Delta platform cars used head impact side curtain airbags and not seat mounted side impact airbags, if one of the cars didn't have have an airbag sensor system connector on the seat it may not have the occupancy sensor.
