24 gauge engine ground

24 gauge engine ground

why is the engine ground 24 gauge? this is some of the saddest **** I've seen.

From where to where. Sounds more like a sensor (s ) ground since the battery is in the trunk with a much larger gauge. I don't think your looking at a ground for anything other then a sensor.

You know GM did not engineer that. Come on. Are you looking in the trunk? because theres a big ass ground in the trunk from the spare tire compartment to the battery.

Well, it isn't the actual engine ground but it's a ground for something attached to the engine. GM did engineer it, it's part of the original engine harness. Prolly a ground for a solenoid of some sort. It's super thin and mine looks like it's about to snap. The bolt that holds it down to the engine is like 100 times bigger. Pretty ridiculous. I'd be willing to bet the grounds attached to an engine of a geo metro were done better...
I'm going to redo the connection Saturday.

I'm going to redo the connection Saturday.
If it's low amp low voltage no reason for a large diameter ground. Also take a picture of it, as I'm not sure what ground you're talking about.
