The stock turbo can run 30psi but it doesn't mean its efficient.alot of cars run 24psi on stock turbos.i run a 24 psi tune and half full bolt ons and make 318hp 406tq.

Look at the serial numbers, make, and any idicators on the turbo. Stock turbo tuned can make 25lbs but no where near 400.

If you saw what it is, then you should know what turbo it is. P.S. psi means absolutely nothing.

You won't have to build the motor, but you will need a bigger turbo if you want 400.

zfr on pump gas is roughly 370-380 on a decent good tune. zfr has a huge powerband though.

Depends on if you use regular or e85 and how much psi you have it tuned to. I wouldn't vote for the zfr, spools too quick and wrecks transmissions. You don't sound like the type that wants to deal with upgrading the trans

Lol on your last sentence, so spot on... ZFR is the best bang for your buck up front and has an immense powerband over most others. For every need under the sun though, it is a top knotch part and gets the job done. Not everyone is shooting for 600.

Haha well at first he said he didn't wanna build the engine or upgrade the turbo, so I would say it's safe to assume he doesn't wanna replace the trans. Get 4.45 trans and zfr and it is a pretty good bang for buck

You're going to want an intake, downpipe, charge piping, and intercooler as well and obviously a tune.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the help I don't mind working on anything that's what I do for a living is build racing engines I just was curious if it was possible to make 400whp without changing the turbo or messing with the motor I just having been able to find out the specs on the gms1 turbo that supposively on the car but sounds like I'm going to save some money and do the zfr sounds bad ass.

No such a thing as a GMS1 turbo. All GMS1 consists of is sensors and a tune.

Like bmartz1991 said, the gms1 is nothing more than 3bar map sensors and a reflashed ecm through GM. The turbo remains the same as stock though. The stock turbo is only good for roughly 35lbs/min of max flow so there's no way you'll hit 400whp with the stocker.

GMS1 is the sensors and tune like people have been saying, that's it. GM has no other turbo for our car.
