I currently have the stock radio in with xm subscription.. I want to purchase and aftermarket unit but my question lies with the Sirius xm.. Do I need to purchase another xm antenna for the aftermarket unit or can it use the stock xm antenna?

 

no the stock antenna wont work cause the actual plug for it is under the back window sill. there is a onstar box that both cell and sat antennas plug into. the only way u can use that one is if u get an adaptor and run a line from the radio to that antenna. its easier just putting the new xm antenna in the corner by the passenger apiller, on a magnetic plate that sticks to dash. that's hpw mine is and it works fine
