Does the S/C analogue gauge work in the T/C
I tossed a supercharged analogue gauge I got from a wrecked car in my T/C yesterday (I have the RPD) wired it up and it works, but doesn't look like it's boosting past 5-8ish psi...but my RPD reads right around 103KPA (15ish psi)
Sooooo...thoughts? I guess it's just not something I thought about before throwing it in or am I missing something here and it should be working just fine? lol

I dont remember exactly why, but the way the ECU calibrated for the stock ie. 30 psi LNF boost gauge doesn't work when you swap to the LSJ 20 psi. I remember asking if i could swap to the lnf one when I had my first LSJ and everyone told me no. so i bought a prosport. but I like the OEM look of the LNF.

The way the data is sent from the bcm to the oem gauges doesn't match the calibrated location on the guage face.
If you compare the location of 8psi on the sc guage to the 15 psi location on the tc guage its about the same.
Same with the "zero point" is 180 from peak on the sstc guage but 180 on the ss sc guage is about -7inhg
If im not mistaken the gauges are internally the same but the face is changed, so in theory you should be able to disassemble the gauges and swap the face.
A way to test this is to put your car in key on engine off and see where the "zero point" shows up. If its at about -6 to -8inhg on the sssc gauge (or 180 from the max) you should be good to swap faces.
Only issue is the needle has to be in the correct location when reinstalled or it wont show accurately.

I've left the gauge in for now, it's fun to watch it bounce around and I know when it hits 5PSI it's maxed ....for real though I will sort it out...got nothing to lose might as well clown around with it.

so if they're both internally identical I wonder if I could pull the front of the gauge off pull the needle off turn to ACC so the gauge "zero's" then put the needle back on pointing to zero like you do when you pull the speedo needles off.... I might test this later....or like you said if the font spacing isn't right then as the car thinks it's reading 15psi it will only show 8

So to my suspicion about the gauge reading 5 when it's 15psi being 10 off I went and checked and it is "zero'ing" at -10, so it is 10 off, so I simply popped the faceplate off (what a bitch to do cleanly!!) pulled the needle off,...ACC let it zero popped the needle back on.
Took keys out and it now zero'd on zero! started the car and it decided to freeze in place and no longer read boost... checked the wiring everything was still great! so I ripped the ******* thing out and threw it in the closet.

well whatever I wasn't going to keep it there regardless reading the wrong pressure, just a bit confused why it stopped working lol

Damn, that sucks man. Maybe it got pissed you were molesting it.

Where did you get the pins to wire it up? Or did you just pull them from the wrecked car too? I have the analogue gauge in my car that I've never actually wired cause I don't know where to find the pins and connector.

My original Innovate WB gauge crapped out so I think I am going to go this route so I can use the Power Safe feature with a solenoid to pull back the boost.

I know, but where do I get the pin to plug in to receive the ECM boost gauge signal? I phoned the dealership and they would only sell me 100 or something. Just rip some used ones out of a junked car I suppose.

I cut the whole harness from the wrecked car to harvest the pins lol
