I haven't been in the cobalt scene for a few years. I'm about to get a new clutch and really hate the gearing. That lead me to the question of "I wander if I could get different gears in this transmission". I know if I upgraded the transmission there are options but I don't want to do that. So what are my options for gears? Thank you.

what do you hate about the gearing? your only options are to change the final drive. the tc uses 3.82 gears, the sc cars use 4.05, and there is also a 4.45 gear set but its hard to get a hold of those.

or your other option is the f40 6 speed swap, but prepare to open your wallet for that.

3.82 is great if you do a lot of interstate driving. 4.45 sucks on the interstate but is fun on the highway/road course. 4.05 is a nice in between.
