Black Granite AVAILABLE on 2010 SS/TC

In Canada anyway... thought this was thread worthy because there was discussion about it. GM.ca is showing it as a $195 option; and showing the crystal red metallic (replacing sport red) as $380.

I can't see the difference guys to be honest maybe someone who has seen it on a Malibu in person can comment?

One of the guys in the Ontario Cobalt Club has a brand new 2010 SS/TC in Black Granite... It looks really nice.

I'm really bummed I couldn't get it when I bought mine.

My wife has a Black Granite Malibu 3.6L . There is a ton of flake in that paint ....I swear it changes color in different lighting . It's also the easiest black to keep looking clean.....even when its dirty it still looks good. It's only in Canada on the SS thou right?

Ordering guide says

(58U) Black Granite Metallic exterior color (extra cost)
(89U) Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat exterior color (extra cost)

As being new for 2010, but when I went to build one last week on chevy.com BGM was not there. But it is on GM.ca

i dunno. i was gonna order a 2010 in that color but saw it in person on a new malibu and thought it sorta looked like ****...compared to what it looks like in the 2010 brochure at least. i ended up buying an ss in crystal red in new york. fully loaded and couldn't be happier w/ the color. way better than black granite imo.

I've seen the red on Malibu's and CTS I think... sport red is better. I'd hvae to see this granite in person on a Cobalt before I judge it.

one thing i learned when i was looking for my car. i didnt build but i did a dealer trade to get what i wanted cus i didnt wana wait. but one thing i learned a hard lesson on.

dont go by the brochure, what looks like **** in there really looks good in person i got the victory red cus it looked the best but that was in the brochure now i wish i had gotten laser blue cus not many people have it and its a nice color or even silver ice. none of those colors looked good in the brochure. big mistake.

Black Granite is not available on the ss/tc in 2010. I guarantee gm.ca's site is wrong.

I'm not a big fan of black on cars, but this is one version of black that I'd love to have.

I guarantee you're wrong considering one of our local club members has a 2010 Black Granite coupe parked in his driveway.

Wrong... considering 2 people ordered Black Granite TC's from my dealer yesterday. It might not be available in the US mind you... there were a couple Canada-only colours for the SS/NA in 06-07, my avatar being one of them as well as majestic amethyst which was offered in 06.

Black is such a pain in the ass to take care of. It looks great for all of 15 seconds while it's clean.
