what about GM tune and intake and exhaust.. will u see more than 30whp or will u be stuck there by another cap GM will set.. also with Hahn... i dont really
see how GM can kill ure warranty since they gave Hahn the award and recommend that Cobalt owners use their products.

The burden of proof is up to GM to prove that a modification not a defect in manufactoring caused the problem, but you can bet your ass that they will try if they want to make an example of you like they did all those banks kit and bullybog diesel truck owners. If you dealer bawks at a repair simply take it to another dealer and see what they have to say. I do not think GM really has a leg to stand on if they are offering this stage upgrade that does the same thing to the ECM as a aftermarket tune , but the difference is that GM has approved that calibration to be safe for these cars, and our aftermarket tunes are not tested by GM and therefore not approved.

Um, no..If you use it at all youre running the risk of getting your entire powertrain warranty voided. Period.

I know I know I know.....GM has to PROVE the tune caused the failure.....Geuss what, if it was a ahrd failure and they can prove you had a non stock calibration....well they pretty much already won. And like I showed, theres really know winning or losing....if you get caught with a powertrain failuire and a tune, your powertrain warranty is gone. No questions asked.

That is basically what I stated if you read my last post carefully.

Yeah, now that i reread your post i guess I can see you were getting to that point. But what people need to realize is that its not really GMs responsibility to prove your mods directly caused the failure....they realistically only need to prove that your mods had the vehicle operating outside of design spec, thats a lot easier than what some people thinks has to happen.

But again the KEY here isnt that GM takes you to court and then they prove their case to void your warranty.........NO nonono....they void your warranty, and then you have to take them to court to get it back. See......again a lot different than what most people think is happening.

QFT.
And GM will void you. I know a guy that it happened to, and are you REALLY going to spend the money to try and take GM to court for something you did?
If your going to play ya gotta pay. Sometimes that means bye bye to your warranty.

QFTx2

And to add to that, the magnuson-moss act is written so that if you do take GM to court and you do win that GM is entitled to pay for your court and lawyer fees. It is a gamble, but if you tuned your car and still expect warranty coverage, your a gamblin' man.
