Remove mounting bolts to knuckle.

Disconnect brake line.

Re-attach brake line to new caliper.

Mount new caliper to knuckle.

Bleed that side caliper.

Thanks!! I guess a better question would have been is there anyway to replace the caliper without bleeding the system......i remember reading somewhere that if you clamp the brake line with a pliers/vice grip with some rubber tubing so you dont damage the line you wouldn't have to bleed the system but i was a bit skeptical.
Next question would be do I only have to bleed that one wheel where I am replacing the caliper or all 4??

..

Def have to bleed it, even clamping the line there is an air pocket where the line meets the caliper. Its no big deal really, you can get a vacuum bleeder at harbor freight that works great for less the $30 that makes doing it yourself a snap, or a helper and $3 worth of vacuum hose. You should be ok with bleeding just that side. Just keep an eye that the master cyl stays full.

I refrain from clamping hoses for fear I will collapse them.

I'm with you on that..

It's easy to one man bleed with a proper bottle and line system, certainly easier with a helper that can push the brake down and hold it.

I always do the 1 person method but you are right on it being easier and faster with 2.

I use a pneumatic vacuum bleeder kit from harbor freight. It is indeed $30 and super easy to use. Of course you need an air compressor for it.

yes its terrible lol but if you put a little brake grease on the end of the nozzle that goes on the bleeder screw, you get a tight vacuum seal and it doesnt leak. Just gotta know how to make the $30 product work is all!
