can a dirty air filter cause boost to drop????

can a dirty air filter cause boost to drop????

my car boost was droping from 15 psi to 7 when i turned on the a/c took it to the dealer and they said it was dirty air filter?

dirty cabin filter causeing boost to drop? Never heard of that lol

thats what the dealer told me, teh only way the the psi would go back to stock is it i plug in the superchips and reset the tune,

it has the stock filter still and thats dirty

15-7 psi over a dirty air filter doesn't make sense dude. Like did ur car just all of a sudden stop making boost?

the only way the filter could be the cause is if you ran through a mud puddle or something and totally clogged that thing out of nowhere, otherwise your boost owuld have been on the decline for a while.

not saying i know what it is, but it can't be the air filter. also not saying not to replace it if its dirty, replace that ****! lol

yea when i took it out it was a 7 traveled like a mile and went back to 16psi
