CF hood fitment.

CF hood fitment.
So just got a CF hood thrown on and it sits kinda high on the right side where the rod that holds the hood up is. So question is if I remove the rod that holds the hood up and use a basic one, non-hydrolic, would this ease the lift issue I'm having on one side or should I play with the lift bolts some more?
