Changing the Rear pads

I am about to do a brake job all around and I read that when you do the backs, you need to open the brake fluid reservoir thats under the hood, is this true because I dont feel like messing with the bleeder screw on the brakes itself.

As in open I mean take the cap off.

Side Note:
I am also trying to avoid bleeding the brakes, so I won't be opening the brake lines at all.

If you're just going to push the fluid back and not bleed, open the cab under the hood but make sure nothing gets into it. If you don't pop that cap you will build pressure in the reservoir. If you're going to do that I'd suggest a full flush at some point since brake fluid absorbs moisture and your lines can startto corrode.

^x2

You only have to bleed the breaks if you induce air into the system IE remove brake line from caliper. If you are just compressing the piston to change pads you don't need to bleed the lines. Opening the cap on the fluid reservoir wont induce air into the lines.
