Well after it came loose the first time i told myself i'd figure out a way to secure it better, well today it came loose again so I forced myself to do something about it.

Thanks for pics man.. Was wondering the same thing. Should it be that far from the hose ?
fix it permanently - Hahn has a group buy on his charge piping right now, looks like we have 20+ people for it (intercooler too). Or get TTR's.

LOL How much is that and u need a tune .. nawww we just gunna fix it for now... I just checked mine and same thing FTW... nothing some zip tie engineering for .02 cents a zip tie ... if you let it go for too long eventually it starts to sheeth the wires for that sensor..
You dont need a tune - to realize the full potential you do. Anyway, I prefer to fix things right, especially on a brand new car. Whats your car going to look like in 10 years if you keep using zip ties and duct tape to fix it? No offense. (oh, and its at $349 now.)

yes but some of us broke the bank just getting this car, coming from POS cars b4 this, like my gutless hyundai lol. Just having the car is enough for me right now, charge piping i'd like to get but unless someone wants to buy me a christmas present for switching from hyundai to chevy ;) lol then i gotta use zip ties for now
has anyone taken this to the dealer about this and asked to put in a request for better piping ?
there is a TSB out for this on the HHR SS
Do you know what it states about it? A fix, or replacement part?
I know they fix it but i have no idea what they do. sorry
can u provide a link for the TSB, I looked at http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov no luck there. I like to look into this if possible thanks
ill try to find it, in any case you should still take it to the dealer to have them correct the issue, another problem with the HHRs is the IC piping coming off also.
Just checked mine.... It's held in so far but I have been very very light on this car as it still only has 350 mi on it. Cant wait for the black HANH charge piping...
zip ties FTW.
i have abt..... 2000 on my car lol ( i have an obsession with all my wires being very neat and clean looking) |
mines on 20-21LBS of boost and i dont have this problem at all, tighten the t-blot clamps if you you this problem again, if you keep having this problem i reccommend that you invest in harndened charge pipe with bead rolled lips. note my pipes are stock at the momment but i dont have this problem, and the cars well over broken in, in mileage, guess i just got lucky and got one of the ten that were built right.....lol sorry GM
