Check Engine Light

so i was driving tonight and i got on it from first to third. as soon as i hit second gear my CEL went on. so i started to freak out, then i drove normally for about a half a mile and it went off. Has this happened to anyone? i only have about 2200 miles on it

get it scanned. otherwise no one can help. can be something as simple as you got gas and didn't screw on the cap tightly. can be anything. but without knowing the code no one can give you any useable info.

Cold Engine

Was your engine not fully warmed up? I have heard of this before with a cold engine.
