Cobalt SS Turbo - MY'08-10 production number and statistics
Since the other threads have linked to the GM Tuner Source page for the production info, I've transcribed the information here in case the link should die or the info is eventually removed. I've also added some extra statistics I calculated and will update it when the MY'10 numbers become available.

Your total sedans says 2063 :)
I like this thread better, I don't like clicking links lol. |
Fixed and thanks. :thumb:
I'm going to shoot a couple emails and see if we can get any information on the different interior color and option uptakes for the cars. I doubt they'll be able to provide a xx% black coupes had yy interior with sunroof, xx% black coupes had yy interior with sunroof and LSD, etc., but they should be able to give a percentage of total cars for each year that got certain options (and hopefully interior color). |

Good to hear. :-D Any chance you guys will be able to track down any other info regarding options, etc.?
|
I just went on Chevy.com and I see they now have the stage upgrade as an option on the build your own :)
|
Are those numbers totals for Canada and the U.S. or just the American units? If both then I feel very special to have an 08' Imperial Blue Metallic Coupe lol.

GM Tuner Source released more information today at this link regarding interior trim color and options. For those that don't know, the "RPO" is listed is a three character code that stands for "Regular Production Option" and is what the dealer uses to specify options for the car when ordering from GM. I pulled everything out from the spreadsheet again and also calculated the percentages for each option since that wasn't included in the GM data.
There does appear to be a couple anomalies in the data. Their overall numbers for the '09 coupe shows 2063 but the RPO option for the SS Turbo (1SS) only shows 2062 being made. It also looks like a couple '09 cars had an emissions override and I'm not sure if that's for here in the states or if they were exported. Also some sedans are shown getting the different interior colors. One thing that would be great to clarify is if this is for all production between Canada and the US (and if any were shipped to other markets). Also if it includes and pilot vehicles or only the normal production run. Maybe "someone" could check on that. ;) EDIT: The Excel spreadsheet is also available for direct download at the following link: http://www.gmtunersource.com/images/...Build_Data.xls |
UQ3 ) 8 Speakers Prem Sound System, 210 watts, w/2 Subwoofers 1105 100%
Last time I check i only have one sub. |
Probably a glitch/typo from where they pulled their codes from like the '09 silver paint color name. I'll correct it in this list.

This is great! :thumb: sub'd
FYI: It appears the the '09 Coupe/Sedan percentage split is off... perhaps reversed? |

What is the difference between T43 uplevel spoiler and D81 aero wing?
|
I hate to be the one to say it but my car doesn't have a sunroof nor the G85 package. I know I was pretty disappointed as well, but I use it as a DD and if I push it, it is in a straight line.

I fixed the percentage in the initial post (the GM data doesn't have any listed and they posted just the numbers) and also looked over the list again. If anyone spots anything else I'll get it updated.
Looking at the data a little more I can see why GM changed some of the options the way they did for the MY'10 cars. For anyone doing competitive driving the sunroof option with a lot of extra mass way above the center of gravity would be a down side, but when over 80% of the cars were sold with them I can see why thy wanted to simplify production. One other thing. Has anyone ran across any of the cars that got the optional floor mats or pedals from the factory? Or any of the sedans with the other interiors? Especially on those sedans, I kind of wonder if this list also includes some media and test cars that may or may not get sold to the public. |
