cost of ownership: Tickets?

Ok boys and girls... how much money have you racked up in tickets since you have owned your tc... i must say i think i am in the lead....

1 year and 2 months of ownership led to around 2500$ in tickets... including 13 no front plates, 3 loud exhausts, 3 careless, 1 reckless(85 in a 55) and a few other bs ones...

lets be honest now

1 ticket for 105 in a 80 (km ) 120$. That's it. And it's because I was arguing with my gf on the phone and I let my car cruise in 5th too late to slow down for the 80km/h zone.

But damn, 2500$ and 10 000$ , I hope you learned a lesson.

So far ZERO$, but I did get a warning about a month after I got mine, in IN. the cop gave me a break, because I was just cruising down the highway(at about 90mph) but not running any one off the road.
Told me to slow down , got my attention.
I was coming home, from Middleton, Ohio.

ha me and my friend we're literally just driving back to his house on the interstate windows down music up and i saw a cop, when i looked down we were doing 102mph...i flipped my **** not realizing we were really going that fast ( i guess since there was no body around me at all) but he obviously pulled me over and wound up talking to me about my car asking me "comon honestly, how fast have u been in it...and i told him well "right around 150 give or take a mph, he laughed and said he only hit 140 in his cruiser" i replied "damn i shoulda ran!!!" and we both started laughing lmaoo...he cited me for 80 in a 70 which was $130.00....enough to teach me...sorry for the novel

I don't think the Indiana State Police plate has anything to do with it.

I got a ticket for 21 over in my base model cobalt. cost me 200$ I got a ticket for 11 over the limit in my LT model, which cost me about 180$ and so far I've been pulled over twice in my TC. Once for breaking the tires loose. I got away with a warning cause I told him I was still learning stick (I broke em loose on purpose, to my demise I didn't see the cop) and the second time I got pulled over the cop couldn't see my temp tag in the window.

hey now. he's a very good driver. i can attest to that. he just drives a little fast for police liking.

and the plate thing isn't his fault. TCs look much sexier without a front plate.

$2500 in tickets?....wow

I am at a lowly $100 bucks....an ******* cop gave me one citing a 40 in 25 mph zone....which was a road merging onto the NJ Turnpike!...this was only 4 days after I bought the car...other then that, I am clean.

The judge took it down to a 30 in a 25 but it was still an overly aggresive call on the cops part.

Well I got stopped for an 87 in a 60 but he compromised with me and just changed it to a "no seatbelt" ticket instead so that I wouldn't get any points on my license...I think it was an 87 dollar ticket or so in Strongsville...other than that this is one of the few vehicles I've owned that I haven't had to deal with the cops too much (at one point in my life I had 10 points on my record...woops)

How do you get a loud exhaust ticket with a TC?

That is what I am saying. This car with an open DP is quieter than a lot of NA cars I see on a daily basis. The turbo counts as a muffler. I had an S2000 pass by last night when I was at the gas station last night that was 2 times as loud as my car.

No tickets in my TC nor my GTO I had. My last ticket was 4 years ago.
