Crankcase vent hose?

So I ordered what I thought would be a crankcase ventilation hose and what they gave me fits the intake but isn't long enough. Question.....how the hell do i make this reach all the way to my valves?

I assume I'll buy a longer hose and cut this one?

..

What kind of intake are you using, and how short is it compared to what you need? I also have one on order, the clip on the intake side doesn't snap on and is loose. I believe it may be the cause of my recurring P2187 code, Id like to see where your problem is at

I'm using the stock intake, this hose is definitely different from the stock one which is weird. So this will go from the intake to the valves I believe. Idk if I'm naming it right. It clicks on perfectly to the intake nipple.

Well it came with an aluminum shield which I guess could be a heat shield ( no idea what a heat shield looks like ) and the hose I got are for engines so it should sustain the heat. Regardless I'm always keeping an eye on it

FWIW this part number supersedes the stock LNF crankcase vent hose. It's the more updated version. Black plastic side should go to the intake aluminum side toward the crankcase.

This is the breather vent tube like ThePanduuh said. It is supposed to fix the issue with the old hose breaking the port on the air tube. I had a lot of trouble trying to get this new tube installed on my 09 SS/TC so I gave up.

.

Mine was the factory braided stainless line. It wouldn't lock securely and you could just pull it off. I ordered a new hose, like one listed above, it fits secure, but code still persists. Still trying to figure out the source of the code
