whats the differnce of the steel intake and the aluminum intake, the steel is 2 lbs heavier and 50 dollars cheaper then the aluminum one. is there a performance differnce?

No, but steel rusts. If you change the intake, tune for it.

Aluminum can corrode though can't it?

After a couple of years, maybe. There's a powdercoat over it, isn't there?
One thing just crossed my mind though. If the intake was made from steel and it did begin to rust. Would it be possible for the rust to flake off and damage the Turbo? |
i got a steel one, no rust. no worries. I think its just weight difference, but id get steel just b/c of any rubbing issues you may have. wont rub through steel

It shouldn't rust on the outside (as it's painted) however a member on here has had it rust on the inside I beleive.
