We have lower comp pistons IIRC. So the compression will be lower

As long as its above 100, and within 10% of eachother you should be ok.

Remember to have all spark plugs out so the motor spins more freely and always use a charged battery to test with. Also, you will get different results if you test on a warm motor, so doing it cold would explain a lower number. Like leemanfor said, all cylinder readings should be near each other.

Literally if I didnt start the car saturday and sunday, it wouldnt run by monday. was like that since day 1.

138 is a good number. hopefully the rest match. or.... hopefully one doesnt match so you find your problem lol.
had my stock battery for 4 years. never take it out when my car is away for the winter. i just disconnect it. i don't even trickle charge it. never had an issue with it. car starts first turn of the key every time.

Agreed. Over 5 years strong. Still reads 12V and doesn't drop much when cranking.

Okay, so the finally tally for the cylinder compression is"

1: 150
2: 141
3: 153
4: 147

They all seem pretty close, I might pull the valve cover next.

Okay, got the valve cover off, found my answer. I snapped off the valve lash adjusters on the exhaust-side of cylinder #2.

I'll get two new lash adjusters and get her running again.

Well, I'm not ready to replace the springs and rocker arms to increase my redline yet. So I'll just have to be more careful and avoid hitting that redline.

Okay, I finally had the time to finish this job up. I replaced the two busted valve lash adjusters, got it all back together and started right up on the first try. I cleared the CELs and went for a little test drive. Everything seems to be running well. I have the tune off at the moment and I didn't rev it above 3250RPM for now. I'll be changing the oil a little later today.

Thanks for everyone's help!!!!

Glad to hear that. I would send a sample of that oil to Blackstone Labs. Won't hurt to know what's in that oil after all of this.

This is one of the more common issues I have seen on LNFs, great to hear it was somewhat simple.

Thanks, this is a good idea. I put some oil to the side from the oil change until I can find where the heck I put my spare Blackstone containers. Hopefully there won't be anything bad in it.

If anyone was interested, after many months I finally got the oil sample back from when this happened sent out to Blackstone and got the report back. Everything is looking fantastic. I got really lucky with this one.

LOL 7k rpm is not safe for a stock head/springs/retainers car. You are just asking for that to happen again.

another issue is people don't seem to realize the guages are a little laggy on our car. You can be below redline and already hitting the rev limiter because of this.

Yeah the speedo needle is super laggy. Put your mph/kph up on your RPD and you can see a huge difference in speed. I never look at the needle anymore its much more distracting than a quick glance over to RPD.

How exactly do you miss third and put it in second?
