help me find it please :)
I have done numerous searches this morning, and keep coming up with nothing.
I was sure there was a thread here stating what the OEM struts are for our cars - as in the original manufacturer, and that manufacturer's number - but not in GM boxes.
Were they Sachs parts?
I am looking at buying some service parts, and aside from brakes and one tie rod end link, I don't have any information - because I haven't had to order much of anything...
Incidentally, over time GM changes part numbers because it goes to different sources - the most egregious part changes in my opinion are the different GM (albeit non-OEM) brake parts;
I have tried several of them and they all suck.
I have here a box tab from a sway bar end link that I bought from the local dealer when my car was still fairly new - it shows MS50800 (which is a mevotech number, but it's shown on the tab as an ACD number), and then it shows a GM number of 19290049;
The latter number now seems to come up no-where presumably because it's been superseded.
I'd also like to know the OEM clutch - I am at this time pretty confident that this was a Sachs part...
Back to the struts, I seem to recall that the OEM struts actually had their manufacturer part number on it, and that was shared here... I'm at 190k miles, and although my struts still ride fine, I'm incline to buy all new parts so tat I have them in waiting for when I decide to do it.

I have been working on doing the same thing for my car. From what I can tell, it looks like suspension links and TREs would be best to move to Moog parts. Rockauto would be the best spot to get those parts.
I'd look into coilovers for shocks and suspension. It looks like a lot of parts are discontinued and finding a matching set of shocks and springs for all 4 corners and them being for 08+ FE5 will be even harder. I personally wanted to do KYB monotubes but they don't have anything for the front that I can find.
Good luck

I am absolutely unwilling to go with coil overs.
I love the stock suspension on these cars - and just stayed quiet when everyone was all about lowering (and 99% ofthe time wrecking the handling according to John Powell) - or going with some aftermarket setup.
My struts are still fine at the moment, but want to have replacements waiting...
I did just find a post on social media that suggested the following:
LH: OEM 19181251 = SACHS 315128
RH: OEM 19181631 = SACHS 315127
I did find another post that suggested the Sachs(?) number 802479, but the posting was somewhat unclear...
I am posting this here so that it can be found by others in the future.
If you have any knowledge which might disprove me, please speak up!!

Thanks actually good to know, those shocks are available on Rockauto for less than $70 a piece. Go ahead and pick you up a set. If I wasn't planning to go to the track next year I would look toward the stock suspension, but I want to be able to adjust damping personally.
I drive this daily in Atlanta so I love the smooth ride but want to dial it up for those speedy boy days.

I am posting this here, because I cannot think of a better place to put it, and want to be able to find it later.
It appears that some where within the first five years GM superseded the original part numbers for the suspension springs;
(I believe that post-bail out GM only has service parts for five years; I miss the old GM)
Application: original number = replacement part number
Front: 22246979 (white tag) = 25833647
Rear: 25993735 (purple ag) = 25821162
