GTO **** talker
my best buddy has a beat up LS2 GTO with a cold air intake and shitty chopped mufflers....yea i know funny. i get my car back tomorrow from the dealer with a brand new stock turbo and wastegate, because i had a faulty factory turbo.. the crack issue. GUYS ITS POSSIBLE TO GET IT WARRANTIED! you just gotta fight. or have a buddy on the inside haha anyway, i have a hahn intake and zzp catless DP with a moderate 22psi BYT tune. this guy is convinced cause his car says pontiac, and has four more cylinders, that hes gonna blow my doors off. i think id win because of the gross weight difference. opinions?

i got stomped by a LS2 gto about a year and a half ago... but that was before i knew about NLS and did the good ol' driver mod haha. im gonna guess it could be close, but i dont know for sure.

also chitala, i think you should hit up Nick of BYT and see what he has to say about a tune, hes not far from jersey if i remember correctly. i had trifecta for months, then when i went BYT, my car became a monster. just throwin it out there if your interested. tryin to spread the word! yea hed stomp me from a dig. but ill do it anyway who gives a **** if i lose haha its a cobalt after all

Dig or roll? How ragged is the Goat? You will have a better chance from a roll ......I'd say you will have your hands full from a dig ......unless the GTO is beat.
My opinion stems from the races i did with my old man's LS2 Vette M6 (tune , intake , corsa exhaust) from a dig he gets out 2-3 cars pretty quick. From a 40 we stay close with him inching away about a car to 100 ....then at around 110 he starts to pull. His car put down 370 whp/ 363wtq on a dynojet

LS2 Vettes are really light though. I put money on you beating the GTO. They are about 1000LB's heavier than a Vette. I have a friend with a LS2 GTO with a exhaust and HP tune I pull 3 cars on him at the end of third every time (From a 20 roll)

a friend of mine drives a ls2 gto and is supposed to race eric and brandon. 2 degrees of separation here in killeen. they all get their work done at the same dealership where another friend works.

Im not a TC but GTO's aren't that impressive to me, stock atleast.

That came out the wrong way, sure they will rape pretty much any stock 4 cyl. I mean like stock they only trap ~106-108 and if you have a tuned/bolt on TC it shouldn't be a surprise if you beat a pretty much stock one. 12's isn't really a common thing, actually didn't even see one in the 12's stock on dragtimes. Obviously a 31K 6.0 GTO is in a diff league than any production Cobalt stock for stock. I don't have a Cobalt btw.

i dont think they are all that impressive either..in stock form at least. i test drove one when looking for a new car. it was OK. nothing that knocked my socks off. modded is a whole different story

lol....um a new 5.0 will rape a GTO. your talking stock vs stock. even modded the stang will have an edge. LS2 is great technology but old news. any v6? so itll beat a new gtr? or were you talkin NA cars only? any other v8? new camaro? negative. basically its all relative. my thread was about do you think my power to weight ratio will beat his raw horsepower. he doesnt wanna do a dig, only highway pull

GTO's arent impressive stock? dude come on. seriously? In stock form they have enough power that 95% of the people who drive cant control. That was just a silly statement. yeah you have a high horsepower cobalt im not denying that but really man? Not impressive in stock form? If youre talking solely about performance and GTO's arent impressive in stock for them cobalts are **** in stock form. how man cobalts run in the 12's STOCK? yeahhhhhhhh not impressive at allll.
Now he's running around 550hp and on shitty tires and spinning through 1st and 2nd, catching 3rd a bit still ran low 13s.

Should be a lot more than a nose. My Cobalt traps 6-7 MPH faster than my LS2 GTO did on similar mods.

I took a LS1 GTO from 60-120 by a car, him unknown mods exhaust for sure, me gms1, k&n drop in and catted downpipe. I don't know about a LS2 but I think it will be close.
