Guessing you have a stock intercooler which the ends are the greatest and yes I'd be a little worried.

you have the tow truck drivers info right?

They're insured against damaging customer's cars.

They should know better...

The one time I had my Cobalt towed, the driver took REALLY good care of how to lift & secure my car...

it backfires like a mother and only allows 5psi, but it had a really rough idle and my stft at idle was +30 and ltft went fron +7 to like -14 in and hour. it seems bad to drive and i have caa so the tow was free

good.

even if you have to get your insurance company to pursue the tow truck company, get it done.

sounds like you have a boost leak... I dont think the tow was necessary. Just drive carefully. Last time I got a Tow, I drove the car onto the flat bed, the guy was really careful and used 2x4's even though the car isnt lowered.

i threw a p0101 but it cleared itself, it would still build boost to 20psi so i dont think its a boost leak

Building 20psi absolutely does NOT mean you do not have a boost leak. If you are throwing P0101, I can almost guarantee that there's a leak. When you shift during a WOT run, do you get 20 psi almost instantly after getting back on the gas, or does it hang and then build up to 20?

I didn't even know I had a boost leak with GMS1 until I got my Trifecta tune to 24 PSI. Hitting limp mode at 180km/h racing your coworkers Silvia in Mexico gives some wicked whiplash. Got the code for underboosting, tightened the clamps on my K&N SRI to the turbo by like two turns and the boost leak was gone.

Sue. I've filed intent to sue letters against tow companies before and they usually just give me my money back before I actually file a suit. I did actually file a civil suit against one company because they towed my truck and dragged the rear wheels instead of wheels skates and got $1300 in a settlement because I claimed they ruined my tires.

So did they actually ruin your tires or did you just claim they did? Because dragging a vehicle a few feet as we often have to do certainly won't ruin your tires. Next time you wonder why we charge so much to tow you ask this guy ^^^

and that answer solidifies why your a tow truck driver....dragging a car on its tires instead of using wheel dollys will most certainly ruin the tires. it creates areas with less tread depth than the rest of the tire.

Tow truck companies should have to pay for what they damage. In '97, my car was towed from an apartment complex for being in the wrong spot. The tow truck idiot scratches both my front rims and the front lip on my car. I got $3300 out of those bastards in small claims court. Damages were only $1800 but they made me sue them, so I sued them for the full amount I could get in small claims for putting me through the trouble. F@#K tow truck companies!!

For 5 feet? No it won't. Not talking about dragging something a quarter of a mile.

If it still boosts 20psi, I bet your turbo is overspooling to try and make 20psi.

limp mode is seriously scary when it happens as your driving. I hope you never have to experience it.

ive experienced the limp mode. I guess its scary but you know whats even more scary? When you decide you want to show off to your friends riding in the car with you after installing a new intercooler with their help and you go WOT..... only to hear a loud explosion and the car has almost zero acceleration and the turbo is incredibly loud.

Thanks to your friends skill at tightening T-bolt clamps, you full boosted your charge pipe off. When it comes off, it sounds like a serious grenade went off in your engine bay. Some people have dented their hoods from it before the upper CP fix.
